We had tacos the other day, but with a minced beef and mexican sauce filling. Then the salad on top.

Is your Mexican a vegetarian alternative?

Anything but, there was half a kilo of ground Aussie mince and a large white onion cooked plus the season mix to fill them with. I see in the pic it doesn't look like there's meat but they were heavy and full, but I stack the meat more to the centre in some ridiculous attempt to limit the mess.

The leftovers, gonna have Tacos for brekkie tomorrow too

Decided to get those Irish Pork Sausages I got some time ago from the Brit Shop in Pattaya a whirl. Planned to roast them with some onion and red pepper that had been coated with olive oil and some dried spices and chopped garlic.

30 minutes in a hot oven, the last 10 dual fan and grill.

Garlic mash potato, and some peas which was something of an after thought. Home made gravy though, none of your instant crap.

Sausages were excellent, crispy skin and full of flavour.

I will definitely use the Brit Shop again, and these are the sausages in case anyone else is interested, 145 baht for a pack of 5.

I've been away lads in Ye Olde England, so these are a bit delayed, but here are some great lunches from the home of Great (British) food.

The king of them all: The Plouughman's (or is it a ploughperson's these days?) with three Lancashire cheeses, pickles and local ham.

    Fish and chunky chips

    Lamb shank

Although I'd have this down as the best pub food I've had anywhere in a long time in Mendip land.

Tomahawk trio of pork and apple in lattice pastry with crackling in a cider jus (and a pint of cider). I'll give you 2 pics of this for your wank bank.

Slow roasted beef short rib, smoked mash potato, roscoff onion and peppercorn sauce.

The classic British curry (jhalfrezi and naan breads not in shot but plenty more where these came from ):

Lads (it is mostly lads these days on this thread, innit?), as I said above, there are plenty more where these have come from, so do you think it might be better to start up a Ye Olde English great food thread, so that we can keep everything together in one place (and this would also take away the quandary I'm in when choosing the appropriate thread for our curries).

I'm all ears and open to suggestions because I know that it means a lot to you to be up to date with happenings in the world famous food scene of the foggy isles.

    Had worse.

Also had better. A lot better. Cheese and sour cream, with a side of Salma Hayek would have improved it no end.

The kid had the idea of putting our wraps into those 4x6in bags, the same as the 2am donor kebab cart we frequent when's she's picking me up from the bars.
