"Anti-Semite" is just another card like the "race" card the the ILLegals are using in the US.

Interestingly, it's the Jews who label people this, including Jews who criticize Israel.

Retired general outlines his Israeli peace plan

    By Tom Tugend

    Natan Sharony

An Israeli general named Natan (Nati) Sharony was in Los Angeles recently and, during a lengthy conversation with The Journal, ticked off his ideas for a peace plan assuring the present and future security of his country.
First, Israel should not attack Iran, which would, in effect, be a declaration of war. “Starting a war is like getting into a hospital,” Sharony said. “You know how to get in, but you’re never sure how you’ll get out.”

    • All Israelis, including the ultra-Orthodox, must serve in the armed forces, and the segregation of women, which has reached new peaks, must end.
The only democracy in the M.E.

    • In drawing its final boundaries, Israel should annex “large Jewish settled domains” but remove “problematic settlements.”
Sounds very jewish ! Pick the best, fuc* the rest.

    • Israel must maintain control of Jerusalem, but not of Palestinian neighborhoods.
Nuke Jerusalem, and they all lived happily ever after.

    • Israel should oppose the “right of return” of Palestinian refugees and their descendants.
Agreed ! If the same goes for jews.

This General is a prime example of why jews are the most hated people in the world...and always will be. Arrogant twats, thinking they are God's chosen people.

Funny...when I was growing up they used to say roughly the same things about Germans. The words were different, though; warlike and war mongers, cold-blooded, thought they were the master race and all that.
The world is different everywhere you go. Human nature pretty much the same.

^ Regrettably, that fact seems to have tainted our thinking to where we believe the only, or best, way to win is via War. Yet the score card of US military interventions since WW2 is basically dismal, and it's greatest victory- the collapse of the Berlin Wall & dissolution of USSR, occurred without a shot being fired.

Good point. (The quote was lost in transmission)

I wonder how much the "God's Chosen" conceit is taken to heart by any but the most religious. It seems to be a phrase that's used as a political rallying point anymore. Red Meat. Sort of like Manifest Destiny was used by the USA to wipe out an entire people to steal their land, gold, etc.

According to the Treaty of Versailles it is Verboten ! for Krauts to be arrogant.

Those Krauts don't need any Tanks and Bombs when left alone. They have done quite well these past 60 years. And are respected arround the world for their achievements.

Rethinking the State of Israel is the name of this thread.
How about redrawing the borders of Israel.
Then again, is anyone here realy surprised ?

Israeli tourism ad misled readers over state boundaries

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned a press ad promoting tourism in Israel, for implying occupied territories such as the Golan Heights were part of the state of Israel

Israel tourism ad: banned after the ASA ruled the content was misleading

The ad, which also promoted a book about Northern Israel, ran in November and attracted 350 complaints from members of the public and bodies such as 1948 Lest We Forget, Friends of Al Aqsa, and Jews for Justice for Palestinians.
It included a map which showed dotted lines around the Golan Heights area, labelled "Golan", the Gaza Strip, labelled "Gaza", and the West Bank. The northern and southern parts of the West Bank were labelled "Samaria" and "Judea".
The vast majority of complaints challenged that the ad misleadingly implied that the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and the Golan Heights were internationally recognised as part of Israel.
The Israeli Government Tourist Office, which ran the ad, said the map was not intended as a political map and did not include the word "Israel", apart from the heading.
It believed British travellers "would be aware of the varying views as to the status" of the areas and said for that reason, it sought to avoid confusion by distinguishing those areas on the map.
It claimed "a bold, broken, black line" identified the Golan Heights and acknowledged the political controversies in that area.
The ASA noted that the map appeared beneath the heading "Welcome to Northern Israel" and that the context implied all of the areas featured on the map were part of the state of Israel.
It also noted the border lines shown for the Gaza Strip, Golan Heights and the West Bank were faintly produced and difficult to distinguish on the map itself.
It agreed the ad misleadingly implied those territories were part of the state of Israel and ruled the ad should not be shown again in its current form.
According to Souk 360, the map was removed from the ad after it came to light there had been complaints.
The Israeli Government Tourist Office was unavailable for comment.

    Rethinking the State of Israel
How about refunding the State of Israel.
Not much news in the U.S. media about this...do you wonder why ?

U.S. Congress supports additional funding for Israel's Iron Dome systems

The Iron Dome Support Act (IDSA) authorizing the President to provide assistance if requested by the Israel to procure additional Iron Dome defense systems wins bipartisan support.

The Iron Dome missile defense system has proven its effectiveness, as it successfully intercepted nearly 60 rockets fired from within the Gaza Strip last week. U.S. Congressmen were also impressed by the performance, and Rep. Howard L. Berman, (D-Valley Village) - the top Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee - introduced the Iron Dome Support Act (IDSA) authorizing the President to provide assistance if requested by the Israeli government to procure additional Iron Dome anti-missile defense systems.

Now here we have some veterans begging Congress for some money well deserved.

WASHINGTON, Mar 22, 2012 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- On March 21, 2012, Bill Hutton, National Commander of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, testified before a joint hearing of the Senate and House Committees on Veteran’s Affairs on the priority veteran issues that the organization believes the Congress needs to address in the 112th Session of Congress.

FUNDING FOR THE VA HEALTH CARE ADMINISTRATION (VHA): MOPH urges the Congress to ensure adequate funding to care for those veterans who are enrolled in the VHA system, especially as the number of returning Iraq and Afghanistan veterans requiring medical attention continues to increase. MOPH supports H.R. 3895, the “Protect VA Healthcare Act of 2012.” We agree that the healthcare of America’s veterans should not be subject to the sequestration provisions of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act. This country sends our men and women to war and we must recognize our responsibility to care for them when they return.

    From today's Sydney Morning Herald-

Israel won't co-operate with UN mission on settlements

Israel has described as ''hypocritical'' a decision by the United Nations Human Rights Council to launch an investigation into the impact of its settlement construction on the human rights of Palestinians.

About 500,000 Israelis and 2.5 million Palestinians live in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in areas Israel captured in a 1967 war.

Palestinians say the continued expansion of settlements, considered illegal by the International Court of Justice, denies them a viable state, making a ''two-state solution'' all but impossible to achieve. Israel says the status of settlements should be decided in peace negotiations.

The 47-member council decided late on Thursday to: ''dispatch an independent international fact-finding mission … to investigate the implications of the Israeli settlements on the civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights of the Palestinian people throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory.''

It called on Israel to co-operate fully with the mission and not obstruct the process - a request Israel has already said it will deny. A government official quoted in The Jerusalem Post said Israel ''would not co-operate with a kangaroo court''.

As long as the US has it's Veto wielded by Israel, they will continue to defy the UN with impunity.

Hardly surprising, using UNHRC as a benchmark for justice and unbiased oversight today is just plain laughable, that council has been high-jacked by Muslim dictatorships and their work is highly politicised, countries that should not even have a vote in the UN since they are not democracies but rather evil religious dictatorships complete with torture, stoning and honour killings galore rule UNHRC, Countries where there exists no freedom of religion and speech demand freedom of religion from us it is just hysterical every resolution on Israel from there is no better than used toiletpaper.

"According to human rights groups, the council is controlled by a bloc of Islamic and African states, backed by China, Cuba and Russia, who protect each other from criticism.[3] UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and former High Commissioner for Human Rights Mary Robinson have criticized the council for acting according to political considerations as opposed to human rights. Specifically, Secretaries General Kofi Annan and Ban Ki Moon, the council's president Doru Costea, the European Union, Canada and the United States have accused the council of focusing disproportionately on the Israeli--Palestinian conflict.[4][5][6] The United States boycotted the Council during the George W. Bush administration, but reversed its position on it during the Obama administration".

Larv- could you provide a Link for your quote in #319 please?

There are 47 nations on the UNHRC at any one time. By my count, 9 of these 47 are predominantly Muslim states, currently. So hardly a preponderance. Like any occupying foreign force, systematically colonising and attempting to dispossess an indigenous population, Israel does not want to be scrutinised by the international community. Simple as that. Human rights violations are happening there daily, in fact the way the whole place is set up- with the indigenous Palestinians living in mostly impoverished bantustans, the illegal Settlers having sole access to decent linking roads and the vast majority of water supplies- is itself an ongoing human rights violation.

So, the fact finding mission will go ahead, the right wing zionist dominated US media will pretend to ignore it, what attention it pays will be clumsy attempts to discredit it (such as calling a 47 nation rotating Human Rights Council 'Muslim dominated', when it is not), but the vast majority of the world, the international community, will follow with interest. This can hardly be described as sensible foreign policy on the USA's part, isolating itself from the vast majority of the international community. Or Israel's.

Ironically, you will get a much more balanced, intelligent and commonsensical commentary from the Israeli newspaper Haaretz (or Al Jazeera, Qatari) than you will from any western media mouthpiece. This is a worrying trend, because not so long ago the western media had a virtual monopoly on free and independent reporting, but now the US version increasingly resembles Pravda and even the venerable auntie beeb seems to be getting senile.

Sab it was on the original you tube page where I found the vid. further down the page in the first comment, also on the page there is further links to the source's used mostly wikipedia as I recall.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_C...st_Racism_2001
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_...Rights_Council
    http://www.oic-oci.org/member_states.asp
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organis...mic_Conference

Did you look and listen to the whole vid. it is quite clearly explained? Why you would feign no knowledge of how the OIC (Organisation of Islamic Cooperation) via agreed voting Blocks and allies holds an assured majority in UNHRC is beyond me, surely you must know, it has been very widely debated and criticised the last few years, if you don't I apologize but then you have some reading up to do, not to mention re-evaluation of the precious UN resolutions on Israel.

Muslim dominated African Countries, members of both UNHRC and OIC
    Burkina Faso
    Djibouti
    Libya
    Mauritania
    Nigeria
    Senegal

Other African nations also UNHRC and OIC members and bound by majority vote decisions made in the OIC.
    Uganda
    Cameroon
    Benin

Now to the Asian contingent of UNHRC and OIC
    Saudi
    Qatar
    Maldives
    Malaysia
    Kuwait
    Indonesia
    Jordan
    Kyrgyzstan

^ much more than 9 would you not say Sab. and all part of the voting Bloc of African and Asian states that together with their friends notably the dictatorships China, Cuba, and the pretend Russia hold assured majority in UNHRC. all countries with strong vested interests in not having their own human right violations ever debated or brought forward, it's is all just a big ridiculous farce what goes on in UNHRC a circus.

Just a few snippets on the wonderful OIC

    "Human rights

"Human Rights Watch says that OIC has “fought doggedly” and successfully within the United Nations Human Rights Council to shield states from criticism, except when it comes to criticism of Israel. For example, when independent experts reported violations of human rights in the 2006 Lebanon War, “state after state from the OIC took the floor to denounce the experts for daring to look beyond Israeli violations to discuss Hezbollah’s as well.” OIC demands that the council “should work cooperatively with abusive governments rather than condemn them.” HRW responds that this works only with those who are willing to cooperate; others exploit the passivity.[34][35] The OIC has been criticised for diverting its activities solely on Muslim minorities within majority non-Muslim countries but putting a taboo on the plight, the treatment of ethnic minorities within Muslim-majority countries, such as the oppression of the Kurds in Syria, the Ahwaz in Iran, the Hazars in Afghanistan, the Baluchis in Pakistan, the 'Al-Akhdam' in Yemen, or the Berbers in Algeria."

    "Antisemitism

The OIC attracted attention at the opening session of the meeting in Putrajaya, Malaysia, on 16 October 2003, where Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad of Malaysia in his speech argued that the Jews control the world: "They invented socialism, communism, human rights, and democracy, so that persecuting them would appear to be wrong, so that they can enjoy equal rights with others. With these they have gained control of the most powerful countries and they, this tiny community, have become a world power.” He also said that “the Europeans killed 6 million Jews out of 12 million, but today the Jews rule the world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for them.”[37][38]
The speech was very well received by the delegates, including many high ranking politicians, who responded with standing ovations".[39][40][41] International, non-Muslim reactions, however, were appalled. "We view [the remarks] with contempt and derision," said a U.S. State Department spokesman. The foreign minister of Italy, who was the chairman of the European Union, called the incident "gravely offensive.""

Really don't see what any of this has to do with Israel's illegal occupation of territory, ethnic cleansing, apartheid laws concerning native Palestinians and terrorist practices in administering said occupied land, use of phosphorous bombs, planting of cluster bombs in farmland, and illegal atomic weapons.

Oh yeah, it changes the conversation to name callers in the UN.

People dislike the State of Israel because it's a detestable state.
