    Now, this is good news!

Democratic enthusiasm has dropped to GOP 2008-levels.

That's from Gallup, which finds exactly what you'd expect looking back at the last few elections: the most enthusiastic side often wins.

The survey was a little vague on what's causing Democratic enthusiasm to plunge, but let's take a guess. It could be that perhaps folks actually did Build That!

From Thomas E. Mann and Norman J. Ornstein’s It’s Even Worse Than It Looks:

"The second [of two sources of dysfunction in current American politics] is the fact that, however awkward it may be for the traditional press and nonpartisan analysts to acknowledge, one of the two major parties, the Republican Party, has become an insurgent outlier—ideologically extreme; contemptuous of the inherited social and economic policy regime; scornful of compromise; unpersuaded by conventional understanding of facts, evidence, and science; and dismissive of the legitimacy of its political opposition. When one party moves this far from the center of American politics, it is extremely difficult to enact policies responsive to the country’s most pressing challenges."

Today’s rethugs, dumber than dumb. Fact!

And yet again I will start off with the GOPs War on Women,….

Senate Democrats are rebuffing House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-OH) push for bicameral negotiations to finalize the Violence Against Women Act, exercising their clout to demand the House pass their expanded bipartisan version.

On Monday, Boehner appointed eight members to an unformed conference committee: Reps. Sandy Adams (R-FL), Mary Bono Mack (R-CA), Trey Gowdy (R-SC), Nan Hayworth (R-NY), Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) and Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith (R-TX).
A senior Senate Democratic aide dismissed Boehner’s move.

“This shows that Boehner is clearly feeling the heat from women’s groups after having passed a bill that leaves millions of women in the LGBT, tribal, and immigration communities out. He is in an unsustainable spot and Democrats know it,” the aide said. “Moving forward means House Republicans dropping their opposition to including these groups in a final bill.”: Dems Show Their Spine On ‘Violence Against Women Act’

Rethugs showing us how to right things in their state,…….

Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (R) on Wednesday criticized his successor, Gov. Rick Scott (R), and other Republicans for using "shameless" tactics that suppress voting rights, including requiring photo IDs, preventing felons from voting and purging voter rolls.: Charlie Crist blasts Rick Scott’s ‘unconscionable’ voter suppression tactics

And support to the above article,……

TALLAHASSEE — In a wide-ranging deposition that spanned two days in late May, former Florida Republican Party chairman Jim Greer denounced some party officials as liars and "whack-a-do, right-wing crazies'' as he described turmoil in the months before his resignation.

Greer said some GOP leaders were meeting to discuss ways they could suppress black votes while others were constantly scheming against each other.: Jim Greer denounces Florida Republican Party officials as liars, 'right-wing crazies' in deposition - Tampa Bay Times

Proof there are twice as many stupid Rethugs as were in 2008,…….

The number of conservative Republicans who say Obama is a Muslim has doubled since October 2008 (from 16% to 34%). : 2012 Candidates Religion | Romney Mormon | Obama

A rethug,…..what do you mean my spouse who has been dead for 5 years cannot vote,……..

A Pinal County supervisor candidate has withdrawn from the race in the wake of voter-fraud allegations involving a former companion who, records show, has continued to vote by absentee ballot in the five years since her death.

John Enright, 66, had been seeking the Republican nomination for county supervisor of District 5, an area that includes Apache Junction and Gold Canyon.: Pinal County supervisor hopeful John Enright quits

    Stupid, stupid, stupid,……..

Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey on Thursday argued that guns should not be regulated after the massacre that killed 12 and wounded 58 in Colorado because the suspect could have “taken a car and driven it into a school bus” — and firearm restrictions would be like taking away football scholarships to punish a school for misconduct.: Dick Armey: Don’t control guns because cars can kill people too

    The clown show continues,………

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) on Friday refused to condemn Rep. Michele Bachmann’s (R-MN) suggestion that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, Huma Abedin, had infiltrated the U.S. government on behalf of radical Islamists in the Muslim Brotherhood.: Cantor defends Bachmann: Anti-Muslim witch hunt is ‘about security’

If you see Bachmann, do us all a favor and pour some water on the witch,……

The poll found that Bachmann comes home to only a 34 percent favorability rating, with 57 percent of Minnesota voters seeing her negatively. Only 37 percent of state voters think she should run for reelection to her House seat, while 57 percent believe she should scram.: New poll: Bachmann, Pawlenty unpopular with Minnesotans - Minneapolis News

No wonder rethugs don’t like education,………they are not good with science,……..

Inhofe's No. 1 myth, according to Sanders, is that "real scientists" say global warming is a hoax. In fact, the scientific consensus is nearly unanimous. "Global warming is unequivocal and primarily human-induced," according to the United States Global Change Research Program, which is made up of scientists at NASA, the Environmental Protection Agency and the departments of defense, agriculture, energy, state, health, transportation, commerce, and interior.

The U.S. National Academy of Sciences and academies in Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom all say "the need for urgent action to address climate change is now indisputable."

Moreover, 18 scientific professional societies including the American Geophysical Union, the American Chemical Society, and others say "climate change is occurring, and rigorous scientific research demonstrates that the greenhouse gases emitted by human activities are the primary driver."

"The bottom line,' Sanders said, "is that when Senator Inhofe says global warming is a hoax, he is just dead wrong according to the vast majority of climate scientists.": Global Warming is Real - Newsroom: Bernie Sanders - U.S. Senator for Vermont

And GOP’s War on Women, ending on a good note with the help of some compassionate republicans………..

    Score one for the ladies!

Recently, Governor Nikki Haley (R-SC) took an ax to the state’s budget, hacking away a whopping $67.5 million from that budget, including funds for teacher pay raises, funding for the arts, and $450,000 for the state’s non-profit rape crisis centers:’

She cut more than $400,000 used to help pay for the state’s network of 23 domestic violence and rape crisis centers. In her veto message, she angered supporters by calling that portion of the budget — which also included money for people with sickle cell anemia, kidney disease and hemophilia — a distraction from the state’s larger mission of providing public health care.

She made matters worse when, in a Facebook post, she referred to rape crisis centers as a special interest.

In the vote to restore funding for the crisis centers, the South Carolina House voted unanimously, 111-0, to reinstate the funding. And lawmakers had some stern words for the governor:

“Of all the vetoes that need to be overridden, this is the most important one,” said Republican Senator Jake Knotts, voicing support for the rape crisis centers. ”Victims of assault, women and children, are the ones who need the most help. It’s money well-spent,” he said.: War on Women Update: Arizona Sued, Haley Vetoed and North Carolina Scores

Republican Candidate In Arizona Accused Of Voter Fraud

This should be a surprise to no one..

While Republicans trying to justify voter suppression bills continue to struggle to find any actual cases of voter fraud, once again a Republican politician may be the exception that proves the rule.

While voter fraud is exceedingly rare — a person is more likely to be hit by lightning than to commit it — then-Indiana Secretary of State Charlie White (R-IN) was convicted of it earlier this year. Now, a candidate for Pinal County Supervisor in Arizona has dropped out amid questions about who cast ballots on behalf of his long-deceased girlfriend.

    The Arizona Republic reports:

A Pinal County supervisor candidate has withdrawn from the race in the wake of voter-fraud allegations involving a former companion who, records show, has continued to vote by absentee ballot in the five years since her death. John Enright, 66, had been seeking the Republican nomination for county supervisor of District 5, an area that includes Apache Junction and Gold Canyon. …

His statement made no mention of the scandal unleashed in an anonymous, undated letter sent several weeks ago to the Pinal County Recorder’s Office. As recently as this year, the letter alleged, someone had been filling out and mailing in absentee ballots addressed to a woman who died on Feb. 3, 2007. The woman, Sheila Nassar, and Enright lived together at the time of her death.

Enright has not been charged with any crime and told the Arizona press “I look forward to learning more about these allegations. If they are indeed formal allegations, I will defend myself. I very much look forward to clearing my name.”

But if Enright was indeed casting ballots in his late girlfriend’s name, he would be guilty of what the Pinal County Recorder called “an absolute act of fraudulent voting” — and a Class 6 felony.

Voter identification laws would have done nothing to prevent the sort of absentee ballot fraud alleged here. And the fact that this is already a felony shows that laws already on the books are clearly sufficient to punish this exceedingly rare crime.

somewhat, considering the high profile backing that dewhurst had.....but you'll notice that these teabag candidates are winning in special elections and off year elections. the real test of their staying power will come this november when it's not only activists showing up at the polls.

and here's something the teabaggers need to keep in mind:

One of the most underreported stories of this presidential election is how the Republican brand is in FAR WORSE shape than the Democratic brand. In our most recent NBC/WSJ poll, the GOP’s fav/unfav was 34%-43% vs. the Democrats’ 40%-40%. Indeed, the GOP has had a worse fav/unfav than the Democrats in every single NBC/WSJ poll (that’s 14 of them!!!) since Jan. 2011, after Republicans won control of the House. So as the Tea Party/grassroots/anti-establishment conservative wing of the GOP has become MORE powerful, the GOP’s overall brand image has gone down, especially with indies. It is hard not to believe these two facts aren’t connected. And this raises the question: Will this be a drag on Romney? Or here’s another way to put it: How can this not be a drag on him?
First Thoughts: The center cannot hold - First Read

the teabaggers are dragging the party so far to the right that only the most extreme conservatives are going along with them. the teabag antics are forcing traditional republicans to become independents and independents to vote for democrats.

The teabaggers are in turn being led by the nose by right wing 'foundations' such as various Kochbot entities, and Dick Armey's Freedomworks. If the GOP is to return to a situation of broadly based relevence to the electorate, there will have to be a lot more Congressmen speaking up like this-

Freshman Republican says House GOP 'angry,' 'incapable of governing'

Freshman Republican Rep. Richard Hanna (N.Y.) compared the parties in Congress to sports teams only interested in “winning,” and this week credited Democrats in Congress with having “less anger” than Republicans toward the other side.

...He called his Democratic friends “much more congenial” than Republican ones.

... He then went on to warn that House Republicans are becoming “incapable of governing” by habitually deferring to “extremes.”

Hanna referred specifically to a controversial letter sent to the State Department by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) and four others earlier this month that warned of possible influence exerted on the agency by the Muslim Brotherhood.

“We render ourselves incapable of governing when all we do is take severe sides,” he said. “I have to say that I’m frustrated by how much we — I mean the Republican Party — are willing to give deferential treatment to our extremes in this moment in history.”

Freshman Republican says House GOP 'angry,' 'incapable of governing' - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room

We don't hear much from or about them, especially given a Press coverage that focuses on gaffes and sensationalist soundbites, but there must be quite a few frustrated Republican party members, Senators and Congressmen right now. They know their beloved party is on a demographic and societal ticket to nowhere.

In a blog posting early this year, [Texas GOP Senate nominee Ted] Cruz vowed that as senator he would fight against “a dangerous United Nations plan” on environmental sustainability that he said was aimed at abolishing “golf courses, grazing pastures and paved roads.” He blamed all this on the Democratic financier-philanthropist George Soros.

Another Wednesday, another update on what the crazy rethugs are doing/thinking,…

    GOP’s continued War on Women

Pennsylvania Rep. Mike Kelly (R), an ardent opponent of abortion rights, said that today's date would live in infamy alongside those two other historic occasions. Wednesday marked the day on which a controversial new requirement by the Department of Health and Human Services, which requires health insurance companies to cover contraceptive services for women, goes into effect.

"I know in your mind you can think of times when America was attacked. One is December 7th, that's Pearl Harbor day. The other is September 11th, and that's the day of the terrorist attack," Kelly said at a press conference on Capitol Hill. That is a day that will live in infamy, along with those other dates.": Republican likens contraceptive mandate to Pearl Harbor, 9/11 - First Read

And more on the GOP's War on Women

North Carolina GOP state Rep. Larry Pittman openly called for publicly hanging abortion providers, proving just how fanatical Republicans are in their anti-abortion stance. Pittman is now making headlines again for attacking Planned Parenthood and calling for the organization’s utter destruction.

Rep. Kelly Keisling (R-Byrdstown) sent an email from his state email account to constituents containing a rumor that Obama and the Department of Homeland Security are planning a series of events that could lead to the imposition of "martial law" and delay the election. The Senate hearing on climate science this Wednesday, unsurprisingly enough, appears to have changed little with respect to the politics of climate change on Capitol Hill. Indeed, a significant portion of the discussion was dominated by debate over Dr. John Christy’s particular brand of denialism, a well-trod debate.

Nonetheless, Senator Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama) was more than surprised when informed by Senator Barbara Boxer that roughly 98 percent of climate scientists, contra Christy, accepted that anthropogenic warming was real and serious — he was outraged:

Sessions: Madam Chairman, I am offended by that, I’m offended by that — I didn’t say anything about the scientists. I said the data shows [sic] it is not warming to the degree that a lot of people predicted, not close to that much…

Boxer: The conclusion that you’re coming to is shared by 1-2 percent of the scientists. You shouldn’t be offended by that. That’s the fact.

Sessions: I don’t believe that’s correct.: Sen. Sessions: 'I Am Offended' By Views Of Climate Scientists

“For that reason it does not appear that this Foundation is organized and operating as a tax-exempt charitable organization,” attorney Tammie Tischler explained in an IRS complaint filed on behalf of Democrats Monday. “Contributions come in from two donors and go directly to Mr. Durant and Ms. Loomis as compensation for program services.”: Michigan GOP candidate allegedly siphoned off 95 percent of charity’s money

Given the way things are, it would be a good idea for every minority religion in America to keep a few weapons inside their place of worship for such an eventuality. Especially when you've got a dufus like this murdering seven innocent people at their church service, thinking they were in fact members of a different faith entirely.

But it's probably against their religion.

Agree. Either would go a long way to help Romney. However, the Romney campaign needs to move miles away from "immigration" policies heard from the far less politically important right wing of the party. On balance, losing support from right wing but gaining support from even a small percent of the Latino vote will even the race.

cruz just won his primary a couple of days ago, so i don't see how he's going to help or hurt romney in november.

rubio, on the other hand, would likely be a net loss. first of all, yes, he's a latino...but he's cuban. and to the latino community there's a distinction. but that still would probably get romney a few more votes in florida, virginia and nevada where there are a lot of latino voters.

    now for the downside...
he's got some really questionable financial dealings that haven't undergone serious scrutiny. yes, the media in florida was poking around last year....but that's not quite the same as full force of the national media turning over every rock.

his compelling personal history was a lie. it could be argued that without that lie he never would have been elected to the senate in the first place. maybe he would have, but we'll never know. what we do know is that he'll have some serious explaining to do about this.

he was baptised a mormon. how in god's name are the republicans going to have two baptised mormons on the same ticket. evagelicals might be willing to hold their nose and vote for one....but two? not likely.

he's green...and not in the environmental sense of the word. i really wonder if he's ready to handle the bright lights. he did an interview with politico a few months ago, and he was clearly upset by the questions and wasn't able to control himself.

so in the end, i think rubio would hurt more than help romney's chances.

Good points. I really don't know much about either. Looking at the swing states, if the Republicans can pull even a relatively small portion of Latino vote from Obama it could make the difference. To get the swing they must appeal to the middle as they must do to win with any other ethnic group. To do this however will lose Romney some support from the Republican "base". Romney is already considered too moderate for Tea Party and religious conservatives so selecting a moderate Latino VP is the way to go. No matter who he picks, the right will cast a vote for Romney simply because they are obsessed with getting rid of Obama.

Way too early for predictions but if Republican strategy doesn't have an element of eating into Obama's lead in minority votes, they will lose. Romney gets the popular majority and Obama wins electoral vote.

What the republicans were doing last week.

And with tradition I’ll start with the GOPs continued War on Women.

Republican Rep. Todd Akin, who is running for Senate in Missouri, on Wednesday said that emergency contraceptive pills should be outlawed.

“As far as I’m concerned, the morning-after pill is a form of abortion,” he told KCMO’s Greg Knapp, “and I think we shouldn’t have abortion in this country.”

But when, in 2009, the Department of Homeland Security reported that white supremacy is the US’s biggest threat for domestic terror, it was met with harsh criticism. Conservatives blasted the department for defining terror threats too broadly, instead of focusing on potential Islamic terrorists. Then-House Minority Leader Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) was one of those who berated DHS, saying that they weren’t focusing on the real threats the US faces.

"DHS stopped all of our work and instituted restrictive policies," said Johnson, who has since left the department. "Eventually, they ended up gutting my unit. The state judicial commission filed an ethics complaint against him over this, which would be decided by his fellow justices. But all of the justices were present at the attack, and Prosser came up with an idea. What if he got all four of the conservative justices on the Court to simply recuse themselves from deciding on the complaint, because they witnessed the event personally? Massive Manure Pile Delivered to Ohio Democratic Offices

Democratic volunteers in southwest Ohio on Tuesday were shocked to find the entrance to their headquarters blocked by a massive pile of horse manure, according to a local report.
Warren County Democratic chair Beth Goldenfield told WKRC Cincinnati that her staff was sickened by the prank, which they think occurred sometime after 10 p.m. on Monday.

Maybe democracy is on its way out if the Republicans have their way. A Republican senate candidate in Arizona, Jeff (appropriately named) Flake, is calling to end the direct election of state senators. This position is, apparently, favored by the tea party.

    GOP Wednesday update

And we’ll start off again with the GOPs War on Women and that crazy Akin.

Senate Candidate and Rep. Todd (I’m stayin’ in the race) Akin (R-MO) told a local television station on Sunday that “legitimate rape” rarely produces pregnancy because “the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.” Akin cited conversations with unnamed doctors for the bizarre claim.

Akin sponsored legislation that would redefine rape in federal law to limit funding for abortion providers and has a long track record of uninformed and extreme views about women’s health. : Rep. Todd Akin: Victims Of 'Legitimate Rape' Won't Become Pregnant

More on this crazy rethug Akin.

Rep. Todd Akin, the GOP’s candidate for U.S. Senate in Missouri, suggested in an interview that it was time to “look at or overturn” the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Asked directly if seminal federal civil rights legislation that prohibits discriminatory voting procedures needed to be modified or scrapped, Akin said that states — not the federal government — should set voting rules. According to Akin, elections “have historically always been a state thing” and that’s a “good principle.” : Akin Suggests The Voting Rights Act Of 1965 Should Be Overturned

    GOPs War on Women, continued.

A state law requiring women to receive an ultrasound at least a day before having an abortion has already caused a Northern Virginia health clinic to reduce its non-abortion services in the month since it took effect, according to a clinic official.

Virginia legislators passed House Bill 462 during the 2012 General Assembly. It states that a woman seeking an abortion must receive an abdominal ultrasound and then wait at least 24 hours before terminating her pregnancy. It also requires doctors to offer the woman the opportunity to see the ultrasound image and hear the fetal heart tones. : Clinic says ultrasound law for abortions forces it to reduce other health services

Even more on the War on Women and an Akin supporter, Iowa’s Steve King.

(Republican) King supports the "No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act." It would ban Federal funding of abortions except in cases of forcible rape. Right now, Medicaid also covers abortions for victims of statutory rape or incest - for example, a 12 year old who gets pregnant.

Congressman King says he's not aware of any young victims like that. : Rep. Steve King on the Campaign Trail - KMEG 14 - News, Weather, Sports for Sioux City and Siouxland

And another Republican supporter for Akin.

GOP 4th Senate District Committeewoman Sharon Barnes told The New York Times “that abortion is never an option.”

    Snip

Barnes “echoed Mr. Akin’s statement that very few rapes resulted in pregnancy,” according to the Times, and she added that “at that point, if God has chosen to bless this person with a life, you don’t kill it.” : Missouri Republican official: ‘God chose to bless’ women with pregnancies from rape

    GOP skinny dipping with kids.

The FBI has investigated an incident that saw at least one Republican congressman swim naked at a drinking party in Israel last year attended by top leadership staff, Politico reported.

The news website said Representative Kevin Yoder of Kansas stripped and jumped into the Sea of Galilee during the privately-funded trip, joining colleagues and their family members who were partially or fully clothed. : FBI investigates Republican Congressmen’s drunken, naked escapades in Israel

Sexual assault and a GOP activist.

Political activist Greg Peterson was charged Monday with sexually assaulting yet another woman at his Utah cabin where he hosted events for some of the biggest names in Republican politics there.

Prosecutors in Wasatch County, Utah charged Peterson, 37, with forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony, for a 2010 incident involving a woman he brought back to the cabin, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

Meanwhile, Peterson was scheduled on Tuesday morning to appear in court in Salt Lake City for the start of a two-day preliminary hearing, where a judge will determine if there is enough evidence to move forward in a case involving four other women who have accused him of sexually assaulting them since March 2011. : Utah GOP activist Greg Peterson hit with another sex assault charge

    O’Keefe can be sued.

A federal judge refused to throw out claims that a right-wing activist violated the privacy of an ACORN worker who was taped counseling defendant James O'Keefe, who sought advice on how to fill his house with underage prostitutes.

Juan Carlos Vera sued O'Keefe and his associate Hanna Giles in Federal Court on privacy claims, after O'Keefe secretly filmed Vera at an ACORN office in National City in 2009.

The now-famous series of ACORN recordings featured O'Keefe posing as pimp, dressed in a chinchilla coat, while Giles was disguised as a prostitute. : Courthouse News Service

    Pretending

Danny Tarkanian, a Republican House candidate in Nevada, accused his Democratic opponent, Steven Horsford, of pretending to be black and taking the African-American community for granted. Horsford is the state’s first black Senate majority leader.

A Republican judge in Pennsylvania and voter suppression.

In Pennsylvania, a Commonwealth Court judge has rejected a suit brought by the ACLU, the NAACP and others to block the state’s stringent new voter ID law, according to the Philadelphia Enquirer‘s website Philly.com. Judge Robert E. Simpson, elected to the bench as a Republican in 2001, rejected the plaintiffs’ request for an injunction against the law, which would potentially disenfranchise 758,000 poor and minority voters. : Republican judge blocks rights groups’ suit over Pennsylvania voter ID law

More on voter suppression in Pennsylvania.

On the same day a judge cleared the way for the state's new voter identification law to take effect, the Corbett administration abandoned plans to allow voters to apply online for absentee ballots for the November election and to register online to vote.
A spokesman for the Department of State said county elections officials told the agency that implementing the new online initiatives as well as voter ID requirements was too much to handle less than three months before the election. : Pa. drops plans for 2 online initiatives to boost voting - Philly.com

    GOP voter suppression in Ohio.

Two Democratic members of the Montgomery County Board of Elections have been suspended after they insisted on allowing weekend hours for in-person early voting in violation of Republican Secretary of State Jon Husted’s directive setting uniform hours across the state.

Mr. Husted has begun the process of permanently removing Thomas J. Ritchie, Sr., the board’s chairman, and Dennis Lieberman from their positions. In the meantime, he broke the board’s 2-2 tie in favor of restricting early voting hours to the weekday timetable he laid out on Wednesday. : Montgomery County elections board members suspended - Toledo Blade

Brewer and her problem with immigrants.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer (R) has signed an executive order that attempts to thwart President Obama’s directive extending temporary work permits to more than a million undocumented immigrants. The Obama administration’s policy — which would grant two-year work authorizations to undocumented youth between 15 and 30 years of age who have lived in the U.S. continuously for at least five years — was announced in June and went into effect on Wednesday.

Brewer’s order directs “state agencies to deny driver’s licenses and other public benefits to young illegal immigrants who obtain work authorizations” and “directs state agencies to start emergency rulemaking processes as necessary to implement her order.” : Arizona Governor Tries To Thwart Obama's Immigration Directive With Executive Order

Brewer has a follower, in Nebraska.

Two days after Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer declared her state won’t confer driver’s licenses and other state benefits to newly-documented immigrants under Obama’s “deferred action” immigration policy, Nebraska, too, put its foot down.

Echoing Gov. Brewer, Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman (R) said on Saturday that Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program does not make successful applicants “legal citizens,” meaning they remain ineligible for state benefits like driver’s licenses and other services. : Obama

Ya say you want a (GOP Armed) REVOLUTION.

In the “Whitehouse Watchdog” column, editor Ponch McPhee says that America cannot survive four more years under Obama, a “political socialist ideologue” who is “unlike anything world history has ever witnessed or recognized.” McPhee argues that Americans will have no option “but armed revolution should we fail with the power of the vote in November. : GOP Newsletter Calls for Armed Revolution if Obama Re-Elected | rightwingwatch.org

Oh my, Thugs are losing their minds already. Another call to treason- this time by an elected Republican official: Republican judge in Texas warns of ‘civil war’ if Obama reelected | The Raw Story
A Republican judge in Lubbock, Texas told a reporter on Tuesday that he and other officials are making plans for the possibility of “civil war” if President Barack Obama is reelected, warning that should the president cede control of the country to the United Nations, he’d prevent troops from entering the county.

“He’s going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the U.N., and what is going to happen when that happens?” Lubbock County Judge Tom Head (pictured, left) asked a reporter for a local Fox News affiliate during an interview that was supposedly about county business.

“I’m thinking the worst,” he deadpanned. “Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we’re not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we’re talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy. Now what’s going to happen if we do that? If the public decides to do that? He’s going to send in U.N. troops.”

Head concluded: “I don’t want ‘em in Lubbock County, okay? So I’m going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say ‘you’re not coming in here.’ And the sheriff, I’ve already asked him. I said, ‘You gonna back me?’ He said, ‘Yeah, I’ll back you.’ Well, I don’t want a bunch of rookies back there. I want trained, equipped, seasoned veteran officers to back me.”

^the reason he thought it was necessary to raise taxes

Lubbock County Judge Tom Head and Commissioner Mark Heinrich went into great detail Monday night on FOX 34 News @ Nine about why it is necessary to raise the tax rate by 1.7 cents the next fiscal year.

An across-the-board pay increase is needed for the attorneys on the DA's staff to keep them from being poached by higher-paying counties, and the sheriff needs to expand his staff by seven deputies to reduce call response times, minimize officer fatigue and reduce the turnaround time for investigations.

Judge Head said he and the county must be prepared for many contingencies, one that he particularly fears, is if President Obama is reelected.
