OSCE reports a huge spike of ceasefire violations by Ukrainian Armed Forced on the eastern LOC. Donetsk PR has been warning the public for the last few weeks that Ukraine is getting ready for an offensive.

Apparently, according to the Three Stooges, it is.

For the rest of us who are not completely brainwashed, it is perfectly rational to be concerned and worthy of the response the US and Nato has shown.

pootin has publicly stated that id Ukraine is allowed to join NATO , they will then attempt to reclaim Crimea as their sovereign territory which in turn will automatically put NATO at war with russia and pootin will use nukes for mutally assured destruction

so really , logic and maths say we should just nuke russia now and accept that a few of their aging missile fleet will destroy some population centres before russia is turned into a radio active waste land

Crimea is part of Russia. Are people still even talking about that? The question is the future status of the Donetsk republics.

Suppose Russia says, “Cuba is our most important national priority. Until the security of Cuba is guaranteed, we will not discuss any other issue with the United States.” That’s what the U.S. is doing now in Ukraine.

A third German enters the chat.

Anglophone krauts seem to be far worse than everyone else. The guys that are supposedly no threat to Russia we are told.

^Russian tv propaganda and ^^casual, poorly informed racism! What next from the forum dickhead child? Your demented pointless posts are not getting you anywhere on here.

It could be that everyone else is wrong, but that seems statistically unlikely. Ten years ago, as SoCal, you posted as an arrogant selfish teenager. You have gone backwards as backspin.

Russia is deflecting as a fake democracy. They are afraid that Ukrainians might choose to join NATO, or even the EU.
Russia is an insecure child without a security blanket. No wonder you are so like them.

You should watch some Russian propaganda for a change. You might learn something.

You are an arrogant prick. The same as you were under your previous nic.

It has already been made quite apparent that Ukraine will not be joining either Nato or the EU any time in the foreseeable future!

Perhaps the US, with it's relentless urge to damage the interests if it's own so called allies, resented this and is drawing this manufactured crisis out.
Perhaps Biden thinks it will help him from the upcoming slaughter of the mid term elections. Dream on.
Perhaps the US still has a pipedream of scuppering NS2. Great- harm Germany, the EU, and Russia all at once. Home run! All I can say is that if Germany assents to this lunacy, it deserves it. But Germans ain't stoopid.

They probably hope they can goad the Ukrainian rabble into an ill considered incursion into Donetsk, to be met by slaughter from the Russian & Donetsk military. Maybe by throwing arnaments at the place, militarising it, they hope they have lulled them into a false sense of security. Gives them a better chance of getting rid of that pesky NS2 deal, and who gives a shit about a few thousand Ukrainian peasants anyway- they are only useful dead and in the headlines. They probably fully well know Russia won't be goaded into kickstarting this aggression, they have been trying and failing for long enough now.

I'm sure that level heads in Europe have already realised that, incrementally, they have to move closer to the great Eurasian axis of China/ Russia & BRI, and distance themself from the warmongering, moribund anglo axis. That is where the future lies, especially when the anglos just want to turn your back yard into a charnel house, harm your economy and standard of living, and compromise your energy security.

^ This, when it comes down to it, is the real lesson to be learned from this lamentable storm in a teacup. America has become just too expensive and dangerous an ally in the current era. Not to mention, a bully.
