Now you're just being finicky. The idea of the sanctions is a deterrent.
If Putin decides to start playing with his pipelines, crack on. It will prove what I've been saying all along, which is that he is not to be trusted, and then the EU will switch to long term LNG contracts with the ME, US and others. So bring it on Vlad.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

The nazis were finished because they fought on too many fronts, the Russians took their spoils. Now its bed time, get your head down and lets see what tomorrow brings.![]()

I enjoy a vigorous debate — need to use my critical thinking skills and find quotes from reliable sources to back up the points.
Seems many TD posters don't and are more like crowds at an England football game, hurling insults at those who support the "other team" and then sometimes even brawl out in the parking lot.

its opinions. If all it was on here was so called facts we'd be trading cut and pastes, of course some resort to baser levels and just insult. He'll be back up and running once he's got over his Ginger Beer. I'm not sure if he realises what its cockney for.![]()

He's too stupid to know why.
Seriously, why do you do that all the time, simply lie and then either dig in or just leave to drop another shit elsewhere . . .
Ukraine - Trade - European CommissionThe EU is Ukraine's largest trading partner, accounting for more than 40% of its trade in 2019.
Total trade between EU and Ukraine reached €43,3 bn in 2019.
Ukraine exports to the EU amounted to €19.1 bn in 2019.
Why is that stupid? I daresay there are western companies that are eyeing up Ukraine, but wouldn't invest in the current political climate.

Backspit's foggy, lying world:
Reality:
Ukraine - Trade - European CommissionThe EU is Ukraine's largest trading partner, accounting for more than 40% of its trade in 2019.
Total trade between EU and Ukraine reached €43,3 bn in 2019.
Ukraine exports to the EU amounted to €19.1 bn in 2019.
I'm surprised you fail to see the stupidity, inaccuracy, outright falsehood etc....
I see. Well here are the figures from the OEC-
EXPORTSThe top exports of Ukraine are Corn ($4.77B), Seed Oils ($3.75B), Iron Ore ($3.36B), Wheat ($3.11B), and Semi-Finished Iron ($2.55B),
exporting mostly to Russia ($4.69B), China ($3.94B), Germany ($3.08B), Poland ($2.75B), and Italy ($2.57B).
IMPORTSThe top imports of Ukraine are Refined Petroleum ($4.3B), Cars ($2.64B), Packaged Medicaments ($1.84B), Coal Briquettes ($1.76B), and Petroleum Gas ($1.49B),
importing mostly from China ($7.36B), Russia ($6.62B), Germany ($5.33B), Poland ($5.18B), and Belarus ($4.14B).

Certainly, in a national sense, UKR's two dominant trading partners are Russia and China. In a quasi-national sense it's uncertain- the EU may exceed either of these.

It does and has nothing to do with 'quasi-national', unless you ant to split up Russia into different states and semi-autonomous regions and China into separate regions.
I'll repeat:
Ukraine - Trade - European CommissionThe EU is Ukraine's largest trading partner, accounting for more than 40% of its trade in 2019.
Total trade between EU and Ukraine reached €43,3 bn in 2019.
Ukraine exports to the EU amounted to €19.1 bn in 2019.
Russia is NOT Ukraines biggest trading partner - a simple lie
'Europeans' do not want 'nothing to do wth what Ukraine sells' - another simple lie.
Slice it and dice it any which way you wish, two false statements, easily disproven.
Ukraine Imports By Country
Oh, Oh, according to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade. It appears that Ukraine's single most important importer/exporter is China.

yes, but if we add all of the 27 EU member states together.......
I think the balance of trade will inevitably swing more towards the west over time- given the politics. A few percentage points anyway- the Ukrainian economy is still to a large extent reliant upon Russia. But neo-Ukraine would be better off without Donetsk, so they should use it to their advantage.
^ Sorry, America was too low on the scale to be counted.![]()
