£2 for a f'kin trolley at an airport - c@£%$... I'd rather carry 15 bags for the extended family then pay for that on principle.

Just landed at SFO late yesterday. $7.50 USD for a luggage trolley that doesn't hold all luggage so you need 2. As always out of principle I refuse to pay it and have luggage on wheels and just push them out the bus. Those things should be free at airports.

^ Thanks, it does have 'DAB' which I'm also not familiar with. I seem to be a bit out of touch with this stuff.

DAB is great, clear reception with hundreds of stations, local and national, available, and you can receive your local stations anywhere in the country.

Spare a thought for the struggling airports, they've come out of the worst teo years in the history of aviation.

Their budgets are squeezed tighter than a ducks butt.

What with all the new security hoops they have to jump through and Airlines threatening to move to other airports because of the landing fees.

It not an easy job making money for the airports Chinese owners in the current climate.

Parking, drop off/pick up charges etc.

It all pays for air traffic controller, security, management etc.

The airports make very little from the airlines..

The largest income generation for airports is parking, airline landing fees and rents in terminals. Over charging for trolleys is just that..... Over charging. Trolleys are owned and managed by an external business (See rent in terminals). Now head on back to your Alzheimer's sharpness test...
