Agreed.
Agreed.
They are my two favourite colours Burnt Sienna + French Ultra .
I use some American paint now Daniel Smith is the make ,, its a wonderfull granulating paint ,, you can get some really amazing effects with it if your brave enough
Think I will ask for a box of each colour to be placed in my box beside me when the time comes , allthough no doubt some bloody health and saftey rule will prevent it
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs![]()
Not in Thailand mate.
At least you will go off with a bang...... and a nice rainbow coloured cloud
Painted this one yesterday on the way to somewhere else ,, might stick it in a local competition

Ok in the meantime as rains stopped play in the veg garden I have had a go at a pastel today ,, its only tiny less than 6" by 4" ,, but I love the colour combos .

Lovely artwork Nigel, please keep them coming. Out of greens atm i'm afraid.![]()
Thankyou kindly Mr L. BTW if you want any of my old toot to cover up a bit of loose plaster on your walls you only ahve to say ,, they dont weigh anything so will travel in my suitcase when I come over in november no probs mate ,, just choose anything you want its yours ok ?
Mr lick make sure you pick one where Nigel hasn't split the horizon at exactly halfway
up the painting , thus breaking all sensible rules of composition known to man , as those wont rise in value as much, when he's famous .
He done himself proud with the pastel work, good composition and lighting ...
i like that
Cheers Bluey glad you liked it ,,, BTW dont keep winding him up ,, he,s gone now anyway busy on his digitals off into the ether![]()
Agreed, 'tis very nice.Originally Posted by blue
Nicely done Nigel, hopefully will get back into it after moving house and a holiday at the beach..... life's intrusions.... oh, well.
BTW approx where in Thailand will you be spending time in the fall?... Could be interesting if your in the Northeast area.
EG
Thankyou EG ,, yes we will be in Issan around October - April hopefully for the next few years if things work out ok ,, gonna try to bring as much of me painting gear as I can , so I can sit out and paint , I really love to do that.
Last year I sat painting in the middle of Ban Dung , I was painting an old TV repair shop on a corner and many of the locals were stopping by having a look smiling at me and talking amongst themselves ,,, probably saying look at that crazy farang sitting in the sun , and why the hel would anyone want to paint that old junk shop ? but it all appealed to me ,, happy days looking forward to it
I though artists were supposed to stand at the easel so they can easily step back to see how its coming on or something ?Originally Posted by nigelandjan
No wonder you have a 94 inch waist and a 27 inch inside leg ....
Anyway lets have a look at the tv repair shop painting
Youll have to wait till I get back to Thailand mate as its in my bedroom in Issan land sorry bout that .
Mind you my dear old FIL has probably used it to light a bonfire by now .
Mind you thinking about it ,, mabe I could have a go at doing one from memory (( it a long time since I had to do that ))![]()
