You sure got some beautifull greens going there E G, , superb mate, .
Just showed Jan she loves it to.
BTW, , it's 4_ 3 to you now, , but you got me pinned down I'm painting that poxy house now lol
Here's my dear departed Tiger, sadly missed by all of the family.
I know you've got the skills Nige...
BTW. I took the picture!
Sorry Charlie I have to put my hand up and say it's beyond my limited ability HOWEVER, the young pretender SFB who's just climbed on board could sure do it justice.
If he hasn't got time mate, I have a shot, but I'm afraid when you see the results , unfortunately it will echo my last paragraph.
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs![]()
Sorry lads I'm up against it in the art dpt at this time of year but but if you do have a go Nige, see if charley has a pic where Tigers mouth is closed.
I've drawn many dogs and they just look better with a closed mouth at that angle.
Good luck.
Do you know what nemesis means?
Congrats on passing the first 1,000 post mark, nigelandjan...A great thread which will be around for a long time...
Cheers BB , I hope so, , I think if I remember correctly in my opening gambit I made some mention about I hoped it would be something to dip in and out of from time to time.
I hope SFB is gonna grace us with more of his work also hope to see other regular viewers such as Blue open up his paint box one day, he keeps threatening to.
Oh well I guess I'm gonna have a go at Charlies old friend, I can't get in the new build today so I'll have a pop.
^ Nige, take your time...It's not a bull in a china shop!![]()
Here you are Charlie mate, sorry it's so small it was the last pastel card I have, I do have larger pastel paper but it's pretty naff stuff.
I know SFB will see a plethora of faults, but this isn't really my dept.
Hence why I stick to my ( safe ) landscapes
Hope you can see a likeness in your Tiger somewhere mate.

^ Can almost here him barking!
That's fantastic Nige...
Thanks very much.
Welcome mate my pleasure.
BTW if you want to know for framing the actual mount size you want is 220mm by 140mm this is the actual viewable bit, there will be a small border all round to tape it to the back of the mount card.
This is also the same dimensions for your stormy picture ok.
Smug and me might be onto something here, , just look at this exquisite piece for sale on the artist and illustrators website today.
Makes you wonder sometimes![]()
I forgot the rule of thirds again, and I'm not entirely happy with the rock shading.
...![]()
That's a good effort Willy, wouldn't have thought too much wrong, can you put up the reference pic?
Actually the rule of thirds doesn't always apply. I think this is one of those cases, the range and its reflection is the POI. The triangle shapes - in this case multiples going in the same direction -provide the eye a route of travel. The hillside (also a triangle) acts as the stopper for the eye leaving the page.
No specific POI is needed. A common composition in some landscape styles.
I like it.

"If you can't stand the answer --
Don't ask the question!"
That's bloody great Nige...
Thanks Smug, that's praise indeed from an artist of your calibre!
Now I'm gonna let you into a secret, whether you believe it or not is irrelevant to me, this is 100% true though, I am 95% right handed the only thing I have to do left handed is bat at cricket.
This pic of Charlies dog was done the one day we had rain, so I sat indoors and did it entirely with my left hand, the reason is as shown below the light is coming from my r/hand side, it's so dark in here and have no daylight lamp, so it was l/hand all the way.
Mabe I'll try another one day.

โต๊ะสวยจังเลย
Quite possibly ^
Thanks for posting your artwork everybody, its all good, hopefully some more will appear
soon.
Used to do art 30 or so years ago, Charlyboy's dog has forced me to think about my dogs ( passed away) time for a new one in a few weeks.
Will put pencil, brush, airbrush (bike tanks) to work and post something in month or so.
Keep up the good work all.
Cheers
Biff![]()
Well thanks for taking a look Biff, , we look forward to any contributions here, , most welcome.
I'm a bit tied up at the moment doing our new home, but will get going again as soon as
Well done lads, ye gotz some skillz.
Thanks Eire for your point of view,
Whether or not any of us have any skills is open to debate, what we do share is a love of art and appreciating others efforts
very nice and amazing art.....I really like that.
