I'm still reading mate...
love that last pic, a little different from your usual, more free.
very nice, see that I'm not the only one dabbling in new mediums... me thinks the journey is more satisfying than the destination.
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs![]()

"If you can't stand the answer --
Don't ask the question!"
Thats a beaut EG mate ,, fast and loose there some cracking brushstrokes going on .
Here is another quirky , a little dutch style impression unfortunately the colours are not being captured correctly , it looks great in the real with the real acid green in-between the darks on the horizon , it pulls your eyes in.
I,m loving being able to sit and paint in my conservatory every evening now after work on these lovely light evenings .

Oh sorry BTW , I forgot to mention this is another in those water mixable oils ,, they seem to defy all logic lol , but it saves pissin around with thinners to clean up brushes
Nice work coming along there lads.

Cheers SFB we aim to please , nice to see people appreciate it .
EG I am using Jacksons own water based oils mate , very cheap large tubes nice range of colours.
I bought they're standard box of 8 I think ? plus I added a W +N Aqua oil Burnt Sienna and Naples Yellow ,, its great fun , I hope to see some of yours soon
Well it was overcast and cool @ 5:30 so dug out my new kit.
Twas fun but totally different than what Ive been used to.. ... Go figure lol
Played with colors and layering... what a bitch... gotta plan ahead more I guess. But not too bad for the initial foray....
not a lot of thought given to armature or composition, just slinging some paint around.
EG
How you liking that water based oil mate ?
Looks like your now thinning it too much with water ,, that was the first big mistake I made with it
the great thing is the clean up after soooooo easy lol
Seems OK for the first time around... NO water at all just used oil and speedy dry lol
We are luckily booked up for two weeks in a villa with a pool in Italy for a holiday this year in the central / southern region Pescara / Puglia areas , now whilst my dearest will be having a swift glass of red and taking a dip in the pool i shall be getting as much down on paper and canvas of the beautiful Itallian Countryside .
This is a truly beautiful region , close to the coast an artists paradise ( God alone knows what I,m gonna do there ) but anyway in the meantime I,m having a go at the landscapes.
Here is my first effort

^Beautiful!
Watercolours?
Thanks Charley mate ,, yup watercolour painted on a rather nice Italian cloudy effect watercolour paper .
I shall be taking watercolours plus some pastels with me on this jaunt .
I,m hoping to get out painting here today as its threatening to be a nice day until about 4pm , I,m taking Jan to see one of her Thai friends who lives about 10 miles away in a rather historic beamed house , and if I can get set up in the high st where she lives I,m gonna have a crack at a watercolour of it .
Happy painting eveyone !
Thanks for those kind words Miss K![]()

I like that one..
Here's one I knocked up the other afternoon!
It's actually a guy from my home town, he paints local scenes.
Nige, can we have your opinion.
Looks good mate.
Very nice indeed Charlie a very talented artist , very brave with the greens to , I cannot use greens like that I get in a terrible muddle , all my greens come from either purple and lemon yellow or black and lemon yellow / or yellow ochre .
Anyway here is todays effort a little local boatyard close to me St Osyth boatyard painted in water mixable oils .
