^ not very convenient to use with the tablet, which could explain why most don't offer it
quite easy to transfer files back and forth with Android devices, you can use some Network Explorer to copy/paste files over the local WIFI network
You can get a Class 10 32Gb Micro SDHC card for $35 nowadays. Don't really see the point in an external HD anyway.
indeed, no point, except for transferring massive amount of files
but Android devices have direct WIFI access to SMB shares, unlike the iPad
Goodness, what has the kid done to you ;-)
Yeah, I can see how, hardest to a handful of games, no harm's done.
You're being too kind to him.
I don't expect you to be able to support what you said, and at this point I have given up expecting a rationale, supported argument from you. So far, Samsung has not exactly blown out the barn doors with Samsung tablet sales, much less with usage share (it's hovering around 2%, I believe).
So, there's no indication except your very zealous statement that this should change. The next generation Samsung tablets don't really have much special to offer.
Odd, with dropbox, or any plethora of storage/file storage apps, the same is easily possible on the iPad -- and with iCloud, total sync between devices, and backup is extremely easy and flexible. Something Android simply doesn't do, there's not even an application on Android Marketplace that allows that.
The ASUS transformer has an iCloud and so has my android Kindle Touch, nice option, imo.Originally Posted by Cthulhu
Interesting since that's an Apple service (iCloud) and unlikely to work on either of those devices you mentioned. Maybe you're confusing a generic "cloud" offering with what "iCloud" does and provides.
Apple - iCloud - Your content. On all your devices.
Apple - iCloud stores your content and pushes it to your devices.
Ah fucking great, another Appletard.
Still, Buttplug will be breaking out the hand lotion...
Viewsonic puts Android on 22 inch tablet
Yet another example of putting an operating system where it doesn't belong

Viewsonic VCD22 Android Smart Display
We've seen Android on some strange things recently. Case in point; Viewsonic have announced an 22 inch Android tablet. That's a lot of inches.
Admittedly it isn't a tablet, it weighs 3.5kg and needs to be plugged into a power socket, but it does the same things.
Running Android 4.0 - also known as Ice Cream Sandwich - the Viewsonic VCD22 is being dubbed a 'smart display' by the company.
It has a 1GHz dual-core processor and a 1.2 megapixel camera. Again, this is exactly what we'd expect to find on a tablet. There are also three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, an Ethernet port and an SD card slot.
We're not entirely sure Android works on such a large device - the operating system looks uncomfortable enough on a 10 inch tablet, let alone a 22 inch monitor, but we applaud Viewsonic's scattergun approach to product development.

This concept was around long before Apple thought of it (not so much for consumers, more for companies), but it's good that they offer the service none the less.

"The Cloud". Nothing more than a fancy consultant's phrase for "On the internet".
or FBI warehouse? :-)
^^^Again I can only speak from experience but the last mixed environment I worked in the standard laptops were 15" macbook pro's or lenovo to the same spec. The lenovo's cost about 100 pounds more, and yes were noticeably more robust.
Ive had an iPad for about 2 or so years. I was happy with the price a paid for it, was the first usable tablet and there were no alternatives worth speaking off.
Its not something I really find important enough to get emotional about. I am quite grateful that OSX and windows are both being successful as they are constantly feeding off each other and both are better products because of it.
i never do understand the affinity with fanboys and certain products,
we have here 3 people supporting 3 different probucts, 1 likes usability and screen and fukkin itunes that needs to be constantly updated to fuk up the jailbreakers, 1 ist the most savvy but you cant learn what he knows in a short while, the other one is a Belgian who likes to take the piss and cock ahd for functionaoity and price, kills me to say this, but he is probably the wisest when choosin a Tab. He is French though
Personally my strongest affinities are to rubymine, eclipse, netbeans, excel, word, isis, visual studio and pdf readers.
I find these products truly useful.
Honestly, being a show off is TV stuff, it doesn't work here. Ask the Buttplug.
