I have no idea if crime is increasing in Thailand. It's entirely possible that it is but the fact that a bunch of middle-aged foreign men who appear to live lives which are remarkably cut off from their environments claim that it is is hardly going to convince anyone. But then threads like this are very clearly much more about having one's prejudices confirmed than about working out what is and is not happening.
