Today's victuals comprised a chicken salad and a cauliflower salad with hot cross buns and hazelnut cremes for pudding.
Sacrilege to eat hot cross buns only 2 weeks into Lent but I did not make a big fuss since Lao Lady is a wayward Buddhist.
Melon and corn cobs to start with and toothpicks to follow the corn
The waxing gibbous moon peaked above the horizon marking precisely our 4th lunar anniversary of first meeting. She came to kick my tyres 3 days before the full moon 4 moons ago, and the deal was sealed on the full moon 4 days later.
The 2 salads were served cold and shared.
Each mouthful was wrapped in a Betel leaf from her garden.
I asked her if that was related to Betelnut and she looked confused and when I told her about the red chewing nut she remembered and said no.
So I googled it afterward and it actually is. Betel leaves are used to flavour the dangerous alkaloid bearing Areca nuts and the product is misnomered as Betelnut.
LLL has got me hooked on season 13 of Married at First Sight. The first time I have watched it since Icey's kid was on it with his yellow gold Rolex Skydweller in 2020. This years crop are an odd bunch, but I am in love with Julia
Sadly she left the experiment today. She broke the guys heart. I have never seen a bloke cry on television at a MAFS break-up before. Although I don't blame him. She is a Goddess.
