I was nervous about running my Tom Yam past a professed native spicy Thai food afficionado
She did not say anything until she was halfway down the bowl and I thought I had flailed in my efforts, but she then paused and considered and gave me a big smile and declared it aroi mak
Homemade garlic mash and a damn fine apple sauce stewed lovingly by my farmer gilf, I fear she may buy me some welly boots for Xmas!

Crispy pork chops, cooked to perfection.![]()

Looks nice Joe. Apple sauce and pork, the best.
Very nice BC.
Point deducted for that pickled gherkin![]()
A pizza sandwich from Woodfire!
Just a moment...
It was pretty dang good...I enjoyed it!
A 3 minutes slapdash, Isaan bound Welsh fisherman inspired, post gym wolfdown.
Actually wasn't too bad.![]()
Now that the weather has turned and we are dug in for 6 months of frozen misery in Europe, I regularly do a big pot of pea and ham soup Dutch style - Erwtensoep (cos I aint no Brexit type) - and freeze the leftovers for the especially Baltic days and nights.
It's a stew really when all is said and done.
Onions, carrots, tatties, celery or celeriac, frozen mendys, split mendys, pork shoulder, smoked sausage, smoked ham, a tablespoon of mustard, mint, thyme, s and p to taste.
Easy peasy and no hairy wurzels are harmed in the making of this winter-warming pea speciality.
Wow.
Just.
Wow.
Are those beans in your beef bourguignon
^ Reg, I think the beans look great, more like American (God's gift to the planet) baked beans.

Get in there Joe
