I've got like 4 different bags of chips in my freezer. Fries, thick cut, regular and some "Cajun" home fries.

    Respecto.

I'll trump you with a bag of Curly piri piri fries as well.

Looks good Joe, I quite like a thin steak.

A San Miguel and a strange looking coloured ketchup and anyone would think you were in Spain!

    Green owed!

I have never had lamb meatballs before until Senorita brought over a box this evening. They have a quite a distinctive flavour. I did not have any of BLD's kiwi aftershave so I made do with Thai chilli and BBQ sauce for condiments.

I knocked up an old favourite in the form of cheezy beanz in return and she licked the bowl clean. The cumin and mexican chilli flavour sauce is addictive.

In the last couple of weeks I've had Somerset fish an' chips, Norfolk fish an' chips and now Dorset fish an' chips.

    Dorset wins!

Although a common feature of all was a stinginess in the pea department.

Washed down with a double whippy ice cream dessert... with no flake due to my ongoing diet.

Why are they called 99s with a flake?

I also shared my dessert with these guys.

To further reduce my calorie intake!

Tbh the steaks I've had in Spain just don't compare to British beef.

I would hardly call the shit you post steak, and I would be embarrassed to admit the nation of origin.

    Smoked haddock and mussel chowder.

With a dollop of rocket salad that came with the daughter's pasta, much to her dismay.

In Korat I have potatoes and carrots and I've seen the wife boil up saucepans of mussels. All I have to do is learn how to smoke the pla nin from the pond and then learn how to turn it all into 'chowder' because it was delicious. I wonder what the white sauce was?

I reckon a handful of peas would go nicely.

And hake on a bed of roast potatoes and beans, and something green called samphire (?) I seem to remember.

It was fish every meal for me in Dorset.

Very fishy, nice if it's fresh and cooked right.

Washed down with a decent pint, respecto Senoir Mendy.

I’d suggest the white sauce is a plain white roux base with chicken or fish stock.

    ^ Good to know!

My last few meals in the UK...

Home made steak and kidney pie.

    Roast lamb.

And last but not least... a quiche. I love that you can just pick up a ready to eat quiche at the local shop without having to go through the palava of collecting eggs, frying up bacon and onions, making pastry etc etc.

But these luxuries haven't done my waistline any favours. Maybe coming back to live in Somerset would be a little bit dangerous... and let's face it, who wants to go to Newport for a passport renewal run?

Clearly, Mum has been doing the cooking. The slop factor has been reduced exponentially.

3.5/10 for that photoshop. You can do better, Reg!

I feel like you’re not really trying.
