Is it one of those purple potatoes that they serve barbecued up north?

You guessed it Joe. It's probably not as bad as it looks if you treat it same as baked potato, smothered in butter with some salt. Hell I could probably eat a warm turd if it was smothered in butter with some salt. But I am a picky eater, normally I don't eat things that look like my morning shit.
Tried it myself once, it would make interesting french fries!

No reason it should be. I don't believe the brits out number the rest of us ex-pats so much, the brits are just loud and obnoxious and drive a lot of good people away.
^ Looks great!
Sure does.
I set up my new convection oven/air fryer this morning. I don’t have any pork chops to cook, though.
You should get yourself some as they were amazing in that air fryer, and they only took five minutes because they were on the thin side. I am already happy with this purchase. I got the Ninja foodi 11 in 1. I am really liking that I will be able to pressure-cook something and then crisp it all in the same machine.
Yeah, pork chops aren't readily available in Chiang Mai.
Neither are whole chickens or, these days, chicken thighs.
Plenty of feet around though.![]()
With Tops and Rim Ping markets that sounds strange. I googled Tops online and there are chops it seems. Since the other members of the house dont eat beef, chops are my go to meat.

They may have them intermittently at Tops and Rimping. However those are 8 kilometres or more away from me, therefore, as I said, not readily available.
But doubtless the link will come in handy.
You need to get to know a butcher and they'll cut what you want if you give them notice, they can't however cut any Thai beef and make it edible.![]()
Breakfast for dinner....
Biscuits and Gravy
The pork chop looks good but the yellow rice looks even better. Can’t get any decent yellow rice here.
Tonight, spaghetti and plant-based balls
SL, How were the plant balls?
^^ I like biscuits and gravy actually, i also like grits and mounds of well done bacon.
