In Greece the fishermen pound the octopi to death on the dock. Supposedly, that makes it more tender.

Sorry, going back to the BBQ pic.

Weather is ridiculous here at the moment 30+, had to go out and buy a fan for the bedroom at the weekend as too hot to sleep, Summer will no doubt be over by the end of the week though and the fan can migrate to the garage till next year.

    Bladdy midweek diet.

    Kiwi striploin.

Was alright but, despite being a tad overdone.

They do do good steaks, the Kiwis. Probably how they tenderize 'em eh. The durtae buggers.

I've just had some tenderloin. First in a while. Smelt good, tasted OK. Only 100 baht.

Sometimes it goes wrong, tonight was one of them. Tried to do hasselback potatoes for the first time and things went South, the problem being timing and temp for having both pork chops and the potatoes cooking in the same oven. I know the right temp/time to do the chops (45 mins @ 180) and thought the spuds would be done at the same time being sliced up like that. Wrong!. So the spuds were underdone and so were the pork chops at first (note the amateur-hour inspection incision in the chop ) but after a blast on high for another 10 mins it all became edible. Fail
