It looks exactly right to me... its the brown sugar and wholemeal bread that give it a dark colour. I love bread pudding... can't remember the last time I had it.

All you doubters fear not,its nice and moist to the touch and not at all burnt soft and springy when downward pressure applied.
Nig i would rather eat pudding first and skip roast dinner in the UK.
NR you will be saying Dundee cake looks burnt next and moaning that cows milk comes out of cows white.
Poor picture its 9am and so dark outside you need a torch to see same in the kitchen light was on.

Way too many raisins, looks like a christmas pud.
Love bread pudding, but even 1 raisin is too many.

I do believe the immortal poet, Sir Floyd said:

"If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding."

Looks great, though I have to agree with Necron, I don't care for raisins.

There seems to be some confusion here about bread pudding vs bread and butter pudding.

    They're two very different things.

Betty - don't be afraid of the dark.

Huge apologies. Got the wrong end of the stick and thought it was bread and butter pudding. I've never heard of bread pudding, but from the pic in the quoted post, it does look very nice. Green coming your way
