It looks exactly right to me... its the brown sugar and wholemeal bread that give it a dark colour. I love bread pudding... can't remember the last time I had it.
green inbound
You can have my slice mate ^ the last piece I was given I repaired a leak on my neighbours shed
All you doubters fear not,its nice and moist to the touch and not at all burnt soft and springy when downward pressure applied.
Nig i would rather eat pudding first and skip roast dinner in the UK.
NR you will be saying Dundee cake looks burnt next and moaning that cows milk comes out of cows white.
Poor picture its 9am and so dark outside you need a torch to see same in the kitchen light was on.

Fascists dress in black and go around telling people what to do, whereas priests... more drink!
Way too many raisins, looks like a christmas pud.
Love bread pudding, but even 1 raisin is too many.
Where's the custard???
Should look like this, but good effort nonetheless...

Looks like a rectangle Xmas cake.
Tell you what I could eat right now especially with custard, bread and butter pudding,
oh I've just dribbled
I do believe the immortal poet, Sir Floyd said:Originally Posted by klong toey

Looks great, though I have to agree with Necron, I don't care for raisins.
I might fry up some left over xmas cake.... with an added dash of castor sugar.
yum
And a slug of brandy.
And you could put some on the pudding....Originally Posted by patsycat
There seems to be some confusion here about bread pudding vs bread and butter pudding.
They're two very different things.
Betty - don't be afraid of the dark.
^ that makes sense - thought it was the worst bread and butter pudding I'd ever seen...

I cooked it for me me me and not you lot, nice and sweet because of the raisins with a hint of cinnamon.
And 4 socks Gert liked it so i'm a happy camper.
Custard indeed bloody northerners.
Must admit it looks good inside KT ,, but still don't save me a bit mate ,, I,ll have one of your lovely fish though if any going spare.
Now I love bread + butter pudding + custard thats delicious
Huge apologies. Got the wrong end of the stick and thought it was bread and butter pudding. I've never heard of bread pudding, but from the pic in the quoted post, it does look very nice. Green coming your wayOriginally Posted by klong toey
