I love somtam Thai with some sticky rice. It's the somtam Lao my wife has that's horrid. Shrimp paste raw black crabs and god knows what else thrown in.

Nowt to do with fashion, Kooj. Mr NR & I love our food. I reckon you can fit 20% extra on a square plate. Esp with his roasts. Think about it...

Also when placed in the cupboard they stack neatly and dont waste space .

I will admit the matching square cups are difficult to drink out of without making a bloody mess

Easier to stack in the cupboards too. Next will be square termarters, na?

What a gormless thing to say. For there to be any logic in that statement, you would need to be able to tell us what's cool about eating from round plates and why it's a good idea to buy those.

It's as gormless as saying what's the point in buying a red car instead of a blue one. Plates have come in different shapes and sizes since man first worked out how to make them. Only a simpleton would have any concerns about people eating from square plates and connect it to the following of fashion
