Went to klong toey market today.. cheap everything. Opens the eyes to the kind of profit margins the the restaurants and even open air eating places are making. Not to mention the fruit cart sellers .

80baht gets you a few bits of mango sellowrapped in big c or a kilo of mangos at klong toey

When I was up north staying the CJ, his wife came in complaining that the price for a kilo of tomatos went up from 3B to 5B.

What I can't understand is this constant serving of food with plastic utensils! WTF? Airlines have now gone back to steel. ... Is it to eliminate the potboy, washer upper in the back of the kitchen? If so... what does that say about the cooking. No pots and pans = Ping! microwave.

Frozen garden peas are really top quality from Macro. Brand name. Talley's. Don't buy any other brand.

I used chicken instead of pork, really tender. Sat on blueberry rice with some grated carrot in ACV

You have been two other prolific posters posting the same "same" for how many years now? You once flounced over repo and now you dont know you to give it? What is up with that?

I have some competition for him

    This evening's 3 course offering.

Starter: Nev’s chicken liver and mushroom low carb delisherama

The second course, a minced beef Aussie pie. (I can give no guarantee as to the Aussieness of the pie.)

Dessert was a single mini sesame roll. It was all washed down with America’s finest A&W Root beer, adding an alcohol free phenolic taste to the whole affair.

No standing on ceremony in the Neverna dining room this evening.

I was pleasantly surprised myself, Slap. The chicken livers were bloody good. The best I've ever cooked them. I don't know why but they were so much better than the last time I cooked some.

I too am starting to wonder if this is all some elaborate artistic statement.

    A kind of 'anti-food'.

It's certainly every bit as uninviting as Tracy Emin's bed.
