    bless

    Those chips look great

....and probably would've turned out better if blanched first - as it's obvious CM goes outta his way to use real spuds and prepares thusly.

Potatoes, indeed - the food of salvation for Europe.

    Nonetheless, well done Luigio.

Did you snatch 2 1st Class Thai Airways knives to compliment the other cutlery you have at home?

Oh, on a side note. Luigi could have substituted the chips for 3 cherry backwells or a man-sized bag of beef Monster Munch.

Yeah, listen to Jeff when it comes to food and blanch your chips first Luigi you corner-cutting slacka!. For sure he'll post up pics shortly showing how his chips come out, and we'll all be amazed .

ps: How's the weight going?. With the food photos you've been posting lately (that all look great mind you) I'm guessing you'd be taller laying down than standing up .

    Actually not bad.

Dared get on the scales after an 8 week Christmas/Winter break this morning and saw 76.7kg. Was plesantly surprised as I began at 78.6kg and was 75.9 before the winter (and possibly Spring and summer) break.

Reckon all the extra buff from the daily gym makes up that 1kg so can keep it at that.

Just used your idea for home made refried beans. Doing up a carnitas tonight, and soaked my pintos overnight. Just made them up and got the pork shoulder in the oven. Thanks.

^ Ah, so true. Got my Margarita fix a couple weeks ago in Bangkok at Bourbon Street. My wife and I had the Mexican buffet (unplanned) and we were not disappointed.

    Top tip.

Go to a curry house and order this.

Wash it down with seven spicy poppadoms, a sag paneer and five pints of Kingfisher.
