^Good effort and a lot of elbow grease used for sure, but why not bin it and get a new one?. Those counter top hobs just pop out and have a power cable/plug hanging out the back of them. The much nicer looking and easy to clean black glass 2 burner hobs aren't expensive and it's a DIY changeover. Just saying!.
Its only rented mate, good idea though

^You should invite your friend over for dinner more often, and get him/her to come over an hour or two early :). Those ovens work fine but like any oven cooking, timing is everything!.
I've never used one but have friends that rave about air-fryers for cooking everything from steaks to roasts. The real beauty of them - they tell me - is being able to look through the glass tops to get a good look at when things are ready for the plate.
^ Those glass convention ovens do look tidy for roasts etc.
I do them so seldom I've never bothered getting one in addition to the the main oven. Might pick one up if I pass one though.
That plate of grub does look tasty. :)

I've been monitoring that. How anyone fasts for that long is beyond me. I find missing a meal a daunting prospect!

My hob looked like that when I moved into the new rental. I went to Villa and purchased an American BBQ cleaning spray in a white pump bottle. After gently warming the rings for a short while I turned them off and sprayed the whole area with the spray which immediately foams up.
I left it for about 20 minutes and when I returned the white foam was now full of brown coloured stuff.... a few wipes with a cloth and the amount removed was amazing. It took a couple more treatments over a day or so but now it looks like brand new and not 9 years old.
That sort of stuff works wonders. You can also spray the inside of an oven with it and leave it overnight. The crud just wipes off the next day.

The no vapor is a big one....the last time I used such a product, the chemical aroma was rather intense.
