A warming beef and potato soup for a cold winter's night.

^Molly looks a bit like Nipper from the HMV logo with her ears folded forward like that.
Homemade chicken soup made by Lao Lady from a real chicken this evening.
No feet were identifiable from sifting carefully through the chicken remains.
This visitation is an opportunity for her to declutter her patio and divest it of various pot plants and unwanted petrol driven implements, now she is running on lithium ion.
She documented progress on my mango tree pruning project under a leaden humid Sunday sky
She advised me that I should feed my new tenant lettuce. I said that was bollix and they are carnivores, and I always feed them insects. But she insisted they could also eat lettuce, which forced me to later google the dietary veracity and conclude that lettuce is indeed bollix. Green tree frogs are carnivores.
We demolished a box of milk chocolate Tim Tams for a post-Christmas chocolate hair of the dog as our pudding.

Pity you're not local, there was 24 hour's worth.
All credit to my Mrs for this one by the way.
Well, she cooked it, switched off the hob, told me to mash the tatties and fucked off to bed.
I was accused elsewhere of having psycopathic tendencies for the manner in which I plated it.
Lang may yer lum reek...
Look, I love melted cheese just as much as the next man but it does not belong on mince and potatoes. I'm sorry but that had to be said.
Just got into bed and now I'm fucking starving
The kid got the last of the tatties. I considered making wraps but just went with that.
It's really easy to make it btw.

I took some inspiration from Dirk's recent 'mince and tatties' for this. A staple of my monthly batch cooking diet is Korean minced pork, which is loaded with vegetables and Japanese spring onions. Usually had with either udon noodles or steamed rice, but this time opted for some mashed sweet potato.

Looks delicious.
Try a keema some time, Indian mince n tatties.

That reminded me of a thread I did a few years ago, essentially an Indian shepherds pie. PAG's Spiced Lamb Keema Shepherd's Pie With Aloo Gobi

Very nice PAG and Dirk; mashed sweet potato especially.

Nice, what cities/ towns are you going to be visiting?
