Tomato with fish or seafood is an abomination.
I beg to differ.
^ They were pretty nice mate, thanks.
Yeah, guffaw guffaw to you as well, mate.
It's a strange one... after many years in Asia I found myself in Perth and met this great looking Thai chick who spoke fluent English... well 'Australian' but close enough. I thought, great! The femininity and compliance of the Thai female coupled with experience of the West (well... Australia), so someone who I can fully converse with during our journey through life's rich tapestry together.
A decade and a half later I find myself married to the brash, emancipated horror of an Australian female coupled with the intransigent, stubborn backward idiocy of the som tam and pla ra addicted Isaan village fool.
Sometimes I wonder how this all happened... but anyway, the mussels were good.
Edit: my up arrows are wrong, I see there ha been some discussion.
^ your efforts to ensure Jess has a good streak of the motherland in her are admirable. You need to get her cooking tho before she even thinks of adding beetroot to a Sunday roast.
^ It's all started mate. I've realised that she could be leaving home in four years... I'm gradually teaching her Western cooking and how to cast a line and catch fish, and the gardener has been asked to introduce her to Thai cooking.
Time goes so fast...
^ You wouldn't wanna share Mike's prawn cocktail
I cannot lie I did not make this, but I eat this when I go out to eat at a place called Moxies. it is my go to dish. It is a tofu bowl, it has cauliflower rice at the bottom with a spicy type mayo and shanghai sauce..absolutely delish.

Some say they taste a bit like hazel nut.
To me they taste like...mushroom. Very nice raw
They are ok if.......Look below
So..I never heard that and had to look into why you would say that.
Do you call all ..."fungi" mushroom ? :)
The one that is safe and you can buy in all shops is Agaricus bisporus, which we call 'champignon'
Can be eaten raw
Shops don't deal in ..dangerous mushrooms..
Next time you make a salad, do add mushrooms.
Enjoy
Mushrooms do have a nutty flavour. Even at 14 I couldn't get low enough to try and extol to you the succinct difference.
I do know though that the wife loves wild mushrooms and putting a little too much jaw pressure on the more dangling left legume.
If you ever fancy visiting the UK there's always a nearly inverted right chestnut you're more than welcome to in your adventure for tasty legumes
Rubba hacked another account
The bastard
wtaf happened to Dill? :D
Pollock comes from the Cod family.
same same.
If you have ever processed a reasonable amount of cod you will be familiar with cod worms, and choose the haddock instead.
My Grandfather was an auctioneer at the Aberdeen Fish Markets.
We ate what we got.
When given a selection at the chipper, haddock is the standard. Halibut was always subject to availability and salmon was never an option. Cooked salmon is shite anyway.
Plaice is a bit akward.
Remember them from when I was a kid.
Think it was mostly bad at summertime.
Looked it up and you are right. Really bad in the Baltic.
Cod worms and liverworms en masse
Comes from the seals, they say
The chickens like them :)
