Rush is a big idiot. He has plenty of people who can relate to him in the US of course. I wonder how many Rush supporters have bought any of the things sold on his networks to support his fat ox(i) ass? If they have they must be well-medicated. Right wing talk radio has been pushing all sorts of prescription drugs since the early 90s. I think their slogan for selling drugs is something like 'Buy American, not that Latino shit.'

the most recent new yorker cover blends two absurd cultural figures: a morbidly obese, thrice divorced, drug addicted, radio talk show host..... and that crazy woman who had 8 kids.

Haha, The New Yorker has been reduced to riding Limbaugh's coattails to sell issues. This is how you sell books. You include a famous person in the title:

Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot, by Al Franken.

Hitch yourself to a rising star! LOL!

It's amazing what I see here. One liberal actually blamed Rush saying his sole purpose is to divide folks. It's the liberals who have consistently supported class-envy. Rush has consistently promoted 'rugged individualism'. It's clear that OB wants to dismantle the CIA thereby putting the US at risk. It's always amazed me that everyone doesn't see this. I use to have faith in the American people - that is until they nearly voted in AlGore.

I felt a kinship reading posts by you and Jet Gorgon. I have found a website that enables me to record Rush's shows from 11pm - 2am Mon - Fri. Have you heard his songs for BO and Barney Frank (the banking queen)? Great stuff.

Trying to understand you (Green me for that?) - The website for Rush and other radio stations is RadioTime: Find and listen to Talk, Music and Local Radio Online. You can download any recording - but you must find a radio station that streams. Rush is on many, but only WGOW out of Texas streams. Sean Hannity is available, and many others.

i'll say one thing for michael steele...he's good for comic relief.

As for his run-in with Rush Limbaugh, which led to a public apology for calling the radio host an entertainer who is deliberately inflammatory: "I am a cause and effect kind of guy. So if I do something there's is a reason for it. Even if it may look like a mistake, a gaffe, there is a rational, there is a logic behind it. It's all strategic."

    oh, so it was 'strategery'.

In a time when so much is being made about our first black president,
Ann Coulter made the following observation in her column of 2/25/2009:

"But as long as the nation is obsessed with historic milestones, is no one going to remark on what a great country it is where a mentally retarded woman can become speaker of the house?"

    So true.

    Where did he say that?

JACK WELCH: This guy is locked in another world. And he’s throwing all these initiatives into this game in the middle of a crisis. Focus on the crisis! Focus on the economy!
WELCH: Right now they’re not related. Right now it’s the economy, Mika. It’s the economy. It’s getting the banks going. It’s a clear message to everybody: all hands on deck. We have a crisis: let’s deal with this. Not one day, carbon tax. One day, take the kids out of the Washington schools. I mean it’s, it’s crazy!
I could interpret what he's saying as, "Don't drag stem cell research onto the table when you're trying to get Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats to go along. Quit alienating people of power when you need them!" (I used an exclamation point because Jack is pretty excited about this.)

Jack Welch has told us that you're a pariah, you're shunned if you criticize Obama. That's how leftists in his circles handle political dissonance bumming the vibes of Obama's harmonic convergence. Maybe Limbaugh isn't alone. Anyone heard what Warren Buffet, a member of Obama's economic crisis team, had to say?
Warren Buffet, who sits on Obama's economic advisory council, had a few things to say on CNBC. Find some quotes below. I've condensed some of the quotes and edited out some of his uncertainty about dates.

    Monday, 9 Mar 2009
TRANSCRIPT & VIDEO: Ask Warren Buffett on CNBC's Squawk Box - Part 1

Anything you put in that effectively taxes carbon emissions is... Somebody's going to bear the brunt of it. In the case of a regulated utility, the utility customers are gonna pay for it. I mean, it's going to become, in effect, a tax. (chuckles) I think we should get the economy straight. I think job one, job two, and job three is the economy.

Job one is to win the war. Job -- the economic war. Job two is to win the economic war, and job three. And you can't expect people to unite behind you if you're trying to jam a whole bunch of things down their throats. I don't think anybody on December 7th would have said that a war is a terrible thing to waste and therefore we're going to try and ram through a whole bunch of things. It's just a mistake, I think, when you've got one overriding objective to try and muddle it up with a whole bunch of other things.

The minority has... They really do have an obligation to support things that, in general, are clearly designed to fight the war in a big way. Republicans have a -- an obligation to regard this as an economic war and to realize you need one leader and -- and in general support of that. But I think that the Democrats -- and I -- I voted for Obama, I strongly support him, and I think he's the right guy, but I think they should not use this... When they're calling for unity on a question this important they should not use it to roll the Republicans.

I think--I think a lot of things should be--job one is to win the war, job--the economic war, job two is to win the economic war, and job three. And you can't expect people to unite behind you if you're trying to jam a whole bunch of things down their throat. So I would--I would absolutely say for the--for the interim, till we get this one solved, I would not be pushing a lot of things that are--you know are contentious, and I also--I also would do no finger-pointing whatsoever. I would--you know, I would not say, you know, `George'--`the previous administration got us into this.' Forget it. I mean, you know, the Navy made a mistake at Pearl Harbor and had too many ships there. But the idea that we'd spend our time after that, you know, pointing fingers at the Navy, we needed the Navy. So I would--I would--I would--no finger-pointing, no vengeance, none of that stuff. Just look forward.

TRANSCRIPT & VIDEO: Ask Warren Buffett on CNBC's Squawk Box - Part 1 - Warren Buffett Watch - CNBC.com

Why do these guys feel they have to qualify their criticism of Obama by saying what a great guy he is? According to Jack Welsh it's due to the intolerance of criticism or disent by the left. One must march lockstep.
WELCH: I had cocktail parties this weekend; I stayed in New York. If you even bring up the name Barack Obama and start to go down this [road to criticism] — I love the guy. I think he’s great. I think he has a beautiful family. I think he’s a good man. But these– you bring up a comment about him, and all of a sudden you’re a pariah! You’re not American! You’re a bad guy. If you even bring his name up. My two trust-fund daughters, if I bring his name up in anything other than a glori[fying way]–they don’t have any critical thinking about it: at all
Even Coach K has to qualify his statements: "Somebody said that we're not in President Obama's Final Four," Krzyzewski said from the Blue Devils' first-round site in Greensboro, N.C. "And as much as I respect what he's doing, really, the economy is something that he should focus on, probably more than the brackets."

Freed US hostage from Somalia tanker slams 'evil' Limbaugh

Is it possible for the leader of the GOP to speak without making a racist attack? Sure it's popular among the dwindling members of the GOP but for the rest, not so much. Former hostage Shane Murphy is fed up with blowhards like Limbaugh and has had enough.

"He was worried about the order he had given to wipe out three teenagers on the high seas," Limbaugh said. "Black Muslim teenagers."

"You gotta get with us or against us here, Rush," Murphy said. "The president did the right thing...It's a war.... It's about good versus evil. And what you said is evil. It's hate speech. I won't tolerate it."

Limbaugh seems to hate America and the American way. The old America that Limbaugh leads still thinks it's OK to spout racist hate speech and that's why they are on the outside looking in.

Since when is describing 3 young men as black Muslim teenagers racist? Is saying black racist? Muslim racist? Teenager racist? What crap!
Limbaugh promotes, leading by example, self realization of the American dream. He is definitely pro-American. It is the socialist liberals that are determined to destroy the foundation that made America the greatest nation.

another blowhard in the limbaugh style is sean hannity of FIX news.

but hannity may have opened his big yap too wide this time....he recently volunteered to be water boarded for charity

hannity was probably hoping for this to simply go away, but it hasn't. an MSNBC talking head has offered to put up $1000 for every second hannity can endure.

    good times.

    Rush the bleeding heart liberal

    In his own words :-

"They were kids. The story is out, I don't know if it's true or not, but apparently the hijackers, these kids, the merchant marine organizers, Muslim kids, were upset, they wanted to just give the captain back and head home because they were running out of food, they were running out of fuel, they were surrounded by all these US Navy ships, big ships, and they just wanted out of there. That's the story, but then when one of them put a gun to the back of the captain, Mr. Phillips, then bam, bam, bam. There you have it, and three teenagers shot on the high seas at the order of President Obama."

    Rush celebrates Earth Day

After the break Rush finally acknowledged that it is Earth Day, and said he was celebrating by having all his cars driven, having his plane flown to Los Angeles and back, cranking up his air conditioning, eating "all kinds of beef," and will "personally" oversee the destruction of two acres of rainforest.
