    Lets paint a picture

There you are back in your local Kiwi bar hoping the girl you met last night who gave you a bare back blow job will turn up again, and you find yourself sat next to some guy who has just come back from 6 months of being in the dirtiest brothels of the world shagging everything he could, now he probably isn't going to mention this fact and probably just tell how his parish is doing and ask you if you will be going to church on Sunday, a hungry mossie bites him, he brushes it away, the mossie is only half full, he moves to you to see what your blood tastes like, you feel that little mossie biting into your skin, it gets itchy, you whack that little mossie as hard as you can and proudly look down at the blood spattered beast on your ankle.............

HIV is very hard to catch. Gay groups have done extensive studies on even those people who do CIM (injesting male ejaculate) very very few cases have resulted in HIV positive. There have been a very few, so it cannot be said that it can't be spread that way, but it's statistically insignificant.

So much mis information out there about how to catch this.

I can see a problem with my original post here..

This is not a back track in any way but I realize now an oversight I made where as the post could be misconstrued as my suggesting that mosquito's were the only way of transmission. That is not what I'm saying or ever intended I have always understood and agreed that there are other ways to transmit it but that it is not possible to exclude mossie's entirely as has been the case for some..

there is no concrete proof that they do not transmit the disease and that's irrefutable..
    Silent but deadly.....

    you didn't really.

you sort of said that adults are more likely to make bad sex options in dark continents than kids and therefore african adults have aids a lot more often than anyone else because they have mosquitos more than someone from bridgend or Omaha or prague.

i think there is a lot more to this than the mozzie story.

seems the scientific community ruled it out in about 1988.
Thanks for the link this is anything but definitive!! And it was in the first 2 paragraphs!!

Scientists have pretty much ruled out the possibility that mosquitoes can spread the virus that causes AIDS. No documented case of HIV has ever been linked to the hated bloodsucker. While lack of evidence cannot by itself disprove a hypothesis, the chances of a mosquito transmitting HIV are so slim that the idea has faded out of scientific discussion as researchers face the real challenges of the immense predicament of AIDS.

^ ya got me! if u read my post i'm agreeing wiv ya on that one! I cannot conclusively prove that mozzies do not transmit AIDS,

same as I cannot conclusively prove that God DOES NOT exist.

There are many bigger problems to the world than HIV, they pretty easy can control the virus with medicine...One problem however is the producers of the medication they wont allow countries to make a cheap product, therefor many people simply cant affort the medication. In Thailand the price for one month supply is around 5.000 baht, there's no way the avarage Thai can affort that...the price is coming down, eight years ago the price for one month supply was 14.000baht, so it's going in the right direction.

    really?

still retains a 100% fatality rate....

and 25-30 million infections is a fairly big number, no?

^Not just that, but apart from condom-less vaginal penetration, it's probably not likely to be spread at all. As I stated earlier, unprotected oral sex is highly unlikely to be a risk for HIV. (Yes, it is a risk for other things, but those aren't under discussion).

    Party on.

careful, Driventown will have stats that proves it does, and then ask us to disprove the theory!
