^ & ^^ it has been a steady decline from all parties and spectra of the political elite. The more people realise it is us against them, the sooner we can all enjoy a decent life and future, especially for our children.

reform, for all the sense they talk, are unlikely to be voted into power in westminster, the new reform councils are not doing particularly well and should they gain a westminster majority their candidates will lack the experience government. (much like labour at the moment, who have over 400 mps but in order to improve their image feel the need to import a chancer like that manc. burnham over any of their own already elected mps. that tells you all you need to know about the quality of labour mps.)

reform, even if they had a majority in westminster , would be up against a very hostile media to say nothing of a left leaning woke civil service that would thwart, impede and obstruct the implementation of any reform legislation.

the current ever increasing Govt intervention and support is unsustainable, and getting worse. The problem is and has been for decades that no political party is willing to have an adult coversation with the electorate about the issues and what the choices are as its considered political suicide.

Currently the country is utterly hamstrung by the Treasury dictating what it will fund and this Govt pandering to its voter demographic.

... OPEC oil prices are driven by the global balance between supply and demand. i.e. a shortage or a glut will determine the price.

the more there is, the lower the price, and by the way the UK is not a member of OPEC, and could refine and sell its north sea derived oil locally at whatever price it wanted to if it so desired.
