Well it seems the violent riots at the Maccabi game in Tel Aviv last night have proven the police were right to ban these Israeli thugs.

They'd only cause problems, end up getting the shit kicked out of them and then try and blame "antisemitism" as the reason.

Or hypocritical brit socialists jumping ship to work tax free in patriarchial nepotistic dictatorships.

Please cyrille, stop hectoring us on corruption and socialism. You chose to escape the grey socialism of the UK purely in order to profit financially from the worst aspects of both unbridled capitalism and corruption in a part of the world where the human rights and equality so beloved of socialism were totally non existent.

Your hypocrisy, just like that of Starmer and his mob, is sickening. Stick to yapping about football, although even that seems to be way above your level of discourse.

Jeremy Corbyn, as despicable as he is, is a man of principle, and even though his principles belong in the sewer, along with him and that fat slag Abbott, he tends to live by them.

Reform UK has published a set of proposals that put British citizens first.

If Rachel Reeves adopted these measures tomorrow, she could save or raise £25bn this year alone, enough to plug the fiscal black hole without hammering working families with yet more tax rises.

“Tough decisions must be made” has become the refrain of a political class that insists British people tighten their belts, again and again, while they continue writing blank cheques to the rest of the world.

Whether it was the Tories before, or Labour today, the script never changes: taxes go up, services get worse. What they never admit is that the only people ever asked to sacrifice are the British people themselves, while the state funnels ever larger sums to foreign nationals.

Britain has been turned into a global food bank, funded by taxpayers who can barely keep up with their own mortgages and energy bills. It is immoral, economically illiterate and politically indefensible.

    And it must end.

    Here is how:

    1. End Universal Credit for foreign nationals – saving £6bn

The Government hides most of the data on how much welfare is spent on foreign nationals. The exception is Universal Credit: foreign nationals receive around £8bn a year in UC alone.

Even allowing for a reasonable three-month transition period, this would save £6bn this year.

This includes those with EU settled status. And it must include them, because the system we inherited from Theresa May and Boris Johnson is ludicrously asymmetric. In 2015, there were around four times as many EU citizens claiming benefits in the UK as Brits claiming in the entire EU. Since then, the number of EU claimants here has risen sevenfold.

Prime Minister Nigel Farage will renegotiate these one-sided arrangements.

    2. Raise the Immigration Health Surcharge – raising £5bn

The population has grown by 10 per cent since 2010, almost entirely through immigration, while NHS spending has nearly doubled in real terms, from around £110bn to £205bn. And yet NHS bed capacity has fallen. That alone tells you the system is being overwhelmed.

The Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) is supposed to offset the cost of treating visa holders. But Tory ministers deliberately set it far below the real cost. The standard charge today is £1,035, a number so absurdly low that the Government admits it represents just 38 per cent of actual per-capita NHS expenditure. The Tories signed off an effective 62 per cent taxpayer-funded discount for foreign nationals to use the NHS.

Reform will raise the IHS to the Government’s own calculated cost of £2,718 a year and end the maze of exemptions that allow thousands of migrants to avoid paying entirely.

Based on Labour’s migration forecasts, this raises £5bn this year.

    3. PIP reform – saving £3.5bn

Reform will focus Personal Independence Payment on serious, life-impacting disabilities, not mild anxiety issues. Shifting these claimants on to back-to-work programmes will save £32-37bn over five years, and £3.5bn this year alone.

By 2029/30, annual savings reach £8.9bn.

    4. Cap foreign aid at £1bn – saving £10bn

Charity begins at home. It is indefensible that while British children go without dental appointments and pensioners cannot get GP slots, the UK funds a £52m “road to nowhere” in Guyana.

While Labour resisted a national inquiry into grooming gangs, Britain wired £19m to Pakistan for child exploitation prevention programmes.

The Tories sent Pakistan more than £100m for “family planning”.

We even send millions to Turkey, whose teenagers now outperform Welsh 15-year-olds in basic education.

Reform will cap foreign aid at £1bn, enough to meet our core UN obligations, support Ukraine, provide emergency relief and promote British interests abroad. Everything else is an unaffordable luxury.

This alone saves £10bn this year.

    5. Deport foreign national offenders – saving £580m

Britain’s prisons are full. Labour and the Tories want to release offenders early. Reform says deport foreign nationals from our prisons.

Foreign nationals make up around 12 per cent of the prison population, 10,800 inmates, and cost £643m a year. Under Operation Restoring Justice, they would be prioritised for deportation or transfer to their home countries.

Net of costs, this saves £580m a year.

We are a generous country but we are not a limitless one. Reform’s proposals restore a principle that Westminster abandoned years ago: the British state exists to serve the British people.

If Rachel Reeves wants to avoid hammering working families with yet more taxes, the solution is sitting right in front of her.

The only question is whether she will finally put British citizens first.

That’s precisely what Prime Minister Farage will do.
    Shalom

Nigel Farage sells snakeoil, not facts.

    AI Overview
The claim that the number of EU citizens claiming benefits in the UK has increased sevenfold since 2015 is disputed by official sources and recent data

. While there was an increase in the number of EU nationals claiming benefits between November 2019 and November 2020 (104%), which led to a surge in appeals after the Brexit transition period ended, this does not reflect a sevenfold increase since 2015. Official statistics show the number of EU citizens claiming benefits in the UK is around 1.9 million, with a rise of a third in universal credit claims by foreign nationals over two and a half years.

Oh dear - things are going from bad to worse for Deform in Wales, too.

Reform’s Welsh hopes damaged after Senedd member suspended for ‘vile’ racial slur | Reform UK | The Guardian

As I predicted - watch this 'one issue' bunch of hosers blow it between now and the next election.

Reform’s Welsh hopes damaged after Senedd member suspended for ‘vile’ racial slurParliament suspends Laura Anne Jones, Reform’s only Senedd member, for two weeks in further blow after party lost Caerphilly byelection

Reform UK’s only member of the Welsh parliament has been suspended for two weeks over a racial slur she posted in an office WhatsApp group.

Laura Anne Jones used an offensive Chinese slur in a discussion about the threat of the Chinese government utilising TikTok for espionage.

On Wednesday evening, the Welsh parliament voted for Jones, who defected from the Tories to Reform in the summer, to be suspended for a fortnight without pay.

Jones’s suspension is a blow for Reform, which has high hopes of making dramatic gains in next year’s Senedd elections.

When Jones joined Reform, its leader, Nigel Farage, said the party was confident the allegations against her would “all go away”. Some people wavering over whether to back Reform candidates at the ballot box next year in Wales may be put off by Jones’s exclusion.

It comes four weeks after Reform’s hopes of winning the Caerphilly byelection were dashed by Plaid Cymru. The loss there was seen as a rejection by many voters of Reform’s anti-immigration stance in a country that has long prided itself on being welcoming to newcomers.

Jones’s suspension follows an investigation by the Senedd’s standards commissioner, Douglas Bain.

A report by the Senedd’s standards of conduct committee said Bain found that, in August 2023, Jones posted a racist slur about Chinese spies in a WhatsApp group.

The report said: “At that time there was public concern about the use of TikTok by the Chinese government to gather information.”

According to the report, in another WhatsApp exchange involving Jones in November 2023, a member of her staff posted the message: “Suella [Braverman, the former UK home secretary] was correct. We have two-tier policing. It was clear over the weekend if your [sic] white working class, you get hammered, if you’re an Islamist it’s all fine, spew all the hate you want.”

Around that time, Braverman was criticising a ban on a march by the UK Independence party in Whitechapel, east London.

The report said Jones had accepted this post was unacceptable but at the time did not reprimand the staff member.

The standards of conduct committee concluded: “The conduct found in thisreport fell far below the standards expected. It points to an office culture where there was little respect towards others or any consideration of what may be found offensive.”

Addressing the Senedd before her suspension, Jones apologised for the language she used. “I never meant to cause any offence,” she said.

Jones added that the process – and leaks about it to the press – have had a negative impact on her family and her own health. She said she had nearly taken her own life.

After the report was released last week, a Reform UK Wales spokesperson said: “Laura has rightly apologised for her comments, made in a private WhatsApp.”

A Plaid Cymru spokesperson called Jones’s “vile and completely unacceptable”. They said: “The fact that Reform accepted the member’s defection tells us everything you need to know about the party, whose divided rhetoric only serves to pit our communities against each other.”

A Welsh Labour spokesperson said: “She made these comments when she was a Conservative, but we’ve seen in Caerphilly that the same sort of language is part of the Reform UK playbook”.

    Try this one then Nev:

Reform UK councillor suspended over WhatsApp group featuring extremist posts | Reform UK | The Guardian

Calling for the stockpiling of weapons to attack migrants and leftys, the genocide of Muslims and the murder of Starmer.

If this was a group of Muslims, anti-terrorism police would be all over it.

With the flagshaggers running riot and racism becoming normalised, the UK is sleepwalking into a far-right hellhole just like our neighbours across the pond.

Yes I recall in 1970s after Friday in the pubs of Staffordshire the choice was always shall we go for a 'Chinky or an Indian"

Times and mores change . we used to laugh at the WW2 generation who talked of half castes and 'darkies' in an era when negro was common US tv shows, then black , then , African American then people of color. folks are so afraid of giving offence Fawlty Towers has warnings for the snowflakes.

Luckily living here we are all 'Falangs" rumours that halor Harry were keks just windups.

While none should aim to offend I sometimes wonder if the whole woke debate same as what WC/bathroom to use is a distraction from wide disparities between mations and within nations.

There seems to be endless debate about the genitals and skin tone of UK folks rather than health, transport, education, housing and the global environmental and security issues.

It's weird but back in the day when they opened a chinky in our local town it was welcomed for its inch-diameter "Sweet and Sour Pork Balls" that were 90% batter, 9% fat and a sliver of meat in them.

But for many years, anyone opening an Indian would have their windows put through enough times to suggest moving would be a good idea.

Thankfully times have changed and a dazzling variety of food is now available at a vastly inflated price through Uber Eats, Deliveroo, etc.

It was in common use a generation ago .Sure many used it due to education and habit

    • the term "Negro" from its forms for general use in 2013, opting for "black" or "African-American" this was when Obama was POTUS! instead, and generated news coverage at that time.

AI notes Colored is a term with a problematic history in the US; person of color, African-American, and black, are acceptable terms to refer to people of African ancestry.

Nathan Gill, 52, from Llangefni, Anglesey, is thought to have received up to £40,000 to help pro-Russian politicians in Ukraine.
He was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) when he accepted money from Oleg Voloshyn, 44, a man once described by the US government as a "pawn" of Russian secret services.
At the Old Bailey, Judge Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb said Gill had abused his position and eroded "public confidence in democracy".

Voloshyn was acting on behalf of a "close friend" of Vladimir Putin - Viktor Medvedchuk, 71, a former oligarch who was the source of the requests and the cash.
The Metropolitan Police said their own investigations are continuing into "whether any other individuals have committed offences".
Gill is the first politician to be jailed under the Bribery Act.
Reform UK said it was glad justice was served, calling his actions "reprehensible, treasonous and unforgivable".
    Fun fact:

Nigel Farage himself was previously paid to be on Putin’s TV channel, Russia Today, and said he was the world leader he admires the most.
