Another debunked steaming turd pile. Putin was planning this war for years.

Apart from that old generic saying "In times of Peace, prepare for War", no he wasn't.

U.S. INTELLIGENCE SAYS PUTIN MADE A LAST-MINUTE DECISION TO INVADE UKRAINE

The U.S. likely relied in part on intercepted communications among senior Russian government and military officials.

The intercept is nothing but propaganda trash. Run by Glen Greenwald, a good buddy of Tucker Carlson and a propagator of fake news. To try again, dummy.

    Not buying it.

"Yet for several critical weeks last fall, senior policymakers in the Biden administration remained deeply split over how best to respond. At that time, the administration was reluctant to dramatically and immediately increase arms shipments to Ukraine."

Had they announced immediately US arms otw weeks before Russia invaded, Putin may have reconsidered.

I trust that sufficiently discloses the fact to our intelligent readership that the article is indeed well worth reading. Snubski even disses US military and Intelligences sources when it inconveniently exposes his childish bullshit.

    It is still propaganda horseshit.

You are a clown and have been wrong about everything you claimed from the very beginning. Now you are attempting to change that reality. Biden was saying that Putin was going to invade Ukraine last JANUARY. I am not going to rehash this old song and dance with you. Go back in this thread and reread what was being posted a year ago.

You are making a fool of yourself again.

Biden expects Putin will order Ukraine invasion, vows '''disaster for Russia'''

Biden predicts Russia will invade Ukraine, warns Putin | AP News

The US got everything right about Russia and you got EVERYTHING wrong about it, and that is an itch you just can not scratch.

    Yawn, again (and again)-

Today we face an avoidable crisis that was predictable, actually predicted, willfully precipitated, but easily resolved by the application of common sense.

Is the reason you are being even more petulant than usual because you have heard the Russians are now advancing in the direction of Zaporozhye, and have already taken several villages?
Or is it because your endlessly repeated and childish assertions that "Putin is having his ass handed to him on a plate" or "his shit packed in" now come back to haunt you?

Seems the case. Even pro "western" media are reporting this from the area.

It is just lazy journalism as they are not reporting from the "area" they just reported that the Russian MOD "announced" an offensive in the area. So far it looks pretty laughable...

Russian forces are attempting assaults in several directions to capture grey zones. The attacks are described as "weak", Russian forces are also probing in small groups on other areas of the frontline. I doubt they will make any major breakthrough.

Another absolutely insane Russian banzai attack. This time not around Bakhmut but somewhere in Zaporizhzhia Oblast in the south. Russian troops without any armor support running in totally open field. For Ukrainian infantry and snipers just target practice.

Putin is getting his ass handed to him on a plate. Russia has been losing this war for months, and it still is. It is taking far higher casualty rates than the Ukrainians using its meat grinder tactics as displayed above. You live in fantasyland of Russian propaganda. I love in the real world.

On January 21, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the regional administration created in the territories under Russian control, claimed that the first line of defense of Ukrainian troops which was built along the Kamenskoye— Orekhov—Gulyai-Pole line had been overwhelmed in the Zaporozhye direction.

“Somewhere there is a reconnaissance by combat, somewhere there is a more in-depth offensive, which is accompanied by mop up operations a number of settlements. Our (Russian) army has the initiative all along the front line. There are active hostilities,” he told Russian media.

In recent days, the Russian Army took control of the villages of Lobkovo, Novoandreevka, Novodanilovka, Malaya Tokmachka, Belogorye and Malye Shcherbaki. Russian troops are attacking in the area of Stepnoye and Malaya Tokmachka, trying to reach the city of Orekhov from the western and southeastern directions. At the moment, there are intense battles for the neighboring villages of Shcherbaki and Small Shcherbaki, where a large grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is deployed, including units of the 65th separate motorized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 98th brigade of Territorial Defense. Control of these villages will cut the road leading to the north. In the area of Kamenskoye, a hangar with weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed.

On January 21, Russian troops continued to actively advance in the Zaporozhye direction, conducting offensive operations from several directions at once. Russian units are currently securing their positions and end the mop up operations in the settlements located along the road which has recently come under their control. At the same time, Russian artillery is heavily shelling Ukrainian positions, paving the way for further offensive.

Russian forces also launched offensive operations near the town of Gulyai-Pole.

The Russian offensive is complicated by the steppes where the advancing units can be easily targeted by Ukrainian artillery. Thus, Russian troops are operating with close support of the Russian aviation.

In its turn, the Ukrainian military command is urgently pulling the military reserves back to the Zaporozhye region.

Silly me- when you were endlessly spruiking that fabled 'Winter Offensive', I thought you meant a Ukrainian offensive.

What are you on about? There is no western media on the ground in Zaporizhzhia reporting Russian troops attacking. The articles I see are only quoting the Russian MOD.

There is no real offensive. It is a Russian MOD fabrication. My OSINT channels would be exploding if that was the case. It is a nothing burger of propaganda. Russia trying to flip the narrative because it knows what is coming for them down there.

It is a pretty good source along with dozens of others. Call me old fashioned but seeing an on site reporter from a major international media source is far better than a blog or twitter source.

Check out my recent post in the Brave New World thread.

A blinkered reliance on MSM only, would have had you believing such fallacies as-

    • Saddam had WMD.
    • Russian trolls stole the Presidential election for Trump
    • The Syrian regime was about to collapse
    • The USA wasn't bombing Laos and Cambodia
    • The CIA wasn't arming and funding the Nicaraguan Contras

I think now more than ever (if you want to stay informed that is) you need to keep an eye on so called Alt-media also, if only to check out what MSM is leaving unmentioned.

Lets not forget also that Alt-Media actually includes some distinguished journalists, investigative or otherwise- they are labelled and denigrated as "Alt" because of their inconvenient viewpoints, or findings. Examples include Glen Greenwald, John Pilger, Phil Donaghue, the late Robert Fisk & Robert Parry, Matt Taibbi and so on.

Show me both sides of the story, not just the narrative du jour.

Two more articles quoting the Russian MOD.

What source? I say again there are no reporters in Zaporizhzhia reporting that there is a Russian offensive there.
