Thing is, BM, nothing can be a scandal until there has been proof of criminal activity - your idea of 'scandal' is something some cave-dweller dreamed up and used his blog to disseminate. This 'something' is then followed and highlighted by every public toilet knee-trembler around.

Karl Rove did though. Millions of White House emails but they were recovered many years later so it doesn't really matter.

I'm trying to know the real circumstances, as there is so much B.S. these days in such matters (e.g., Ken Star's hunt of Bill Clinton).

It's partisan politics, although technically she erred. No harm done; much ado about nothing.

We don't know at this time whether those emails compromised diplomatic negotiations or worse and besides, the State Dept suddenly finds thousands of Hillary aide’s e-mails they denied existing in 2013.

This Scandal is still unfolding. Once the FBI entered the scene, it took on a whole different aspect.

The laws are different for diplomats. There are explicit laws about emails and servers. They apply to diplomats.

You went off topic and talked about Karl Rove's deletions - Rove was not a diplomat. These laws did not apply to him.

There's no point on focusing on this if you can't figure it out.

^Not sure I understand your point. American diplomats serve abroad, not in the US (with the exception of the UN in NYC).

Hillary is not a US diplomat.

Nor was Rove.

The USG has regulations governing use of USG information.

Whether either of the above are/were diplomats really doesn't factor into it.
