    It's being called Wipewater now:

WIPEWATER: PHONES OF HILLARY PALS FLUSHED SERVERS SCRUBBED CLEAN

    Clinton aides’ BlackBerrys likely destroyed

State Department BlackBerry devices issued to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's aides Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin have likely been destroyed or sold off, the department said in a court filing on Wednesday.

Mills and Abedin “were each issued BlackBerry devices,” department Executive Secretary Joseph Macmanus wrote in the filing.

The department, however, “has not located any such device,” and believes that they would have been destroyed or removed from the department's control.

“Because the devices issues to Ms. Mills and Ms. Abedin would have been outdated models, in accordance with standard operating procedures those devices would have been destroyed or excessed,” Macmanus added.
State Department spokesman John Kirby confirmed later on Wednesday afternoon that the two former officials’ devices were returned to the department after they left office.

“They belong to the United States government, and when you leave an agency you just turn it in,” Kirby said. “So yes, they were turned in. Where they are now I couldn’t begin to tell you.

“It’s also likely, because this was a while ago, that those devices may have been destroyed,” he added. “I don’t have the records of it because they were old and outmoded and often times we purchase new devices” in those circumstances.

In the same court filing, the State Department confirmed its previous claim that Clinton used a personal BlackBerry during her time in office that was not issued by the federal government.

The State Department “does not believe that any personal computing device was issued by the department to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and has not located any such device at the department,” Macmanus wrote.

News of the Clinton aides’ devices adds to the growing scrutiny on the Democratic presidential front-runner and two of her top advisors, both of whom have been drawn into the fire surrounding the Clinton email furor.

The criticism has been a major drag on Clinton’s presidential campaign, and has provided a nearly endless supply of ammunition to her critics — including some Democrats.

Wednesday’s filing came as part of a lawsuit from the conservative organization Judicial Watch, which is looking for documents related to Abedin’s employment arrangement while she served in the State Department.

“The questions just keep popping up,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement. “Every time the State Department tries to justify its stonewalling, one more bit of information arises.”

A hearing in the case before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia is scheduled for Thursday afternoon."

Yes, it certainly does look like a conspiracy.

Instead of running for POTUS perhaps Hillary should try for the NBC Anchor job vacated by Brian Williams.

Here, she outright lies about landing in Bosnia under sniper fire.

    Yeah, that's a good one.

I mentioned that in an earlier post w/out the YouTube thing but due to the overwhelming ideological bias among many on here, it was ignored.

Doesn't fit the Narrative, you know?

My congratulations to S. Landreth for making a real post with actual backup.

I can't say I agree with much of it but his post shows Hillary still leading against all Republican contenders. What it doesn't show is the margin is changing since the e-mail problem is becoming public knowledge. Her lead is shrinking against the leading four opponents.

Mr. Landreth posted a link reflecting the Latino population thinks that strengthening the clean water act is 22 points more important than raising the minimum wage.

I would simply point out the poll was conducted by something named "Latino Decisions" for a group named "Earthjustice and Green Latinos". Perhaps there is an agenda here other than taking a legitimate poll?

Nice post, even though I disagree with most of it.

As for the rest of you fault finders...why not try and come up with some sensible responses for a change? Your little one line hit and run posts are great for running up you post count but they do little other than raising your own self esteems, which are obviously in need of some elevating.

Personal attacks are rife here, and are even contagious. I have never been one to banter insults back and forth. Seems rather childish to me so I will try and refrain from doing so in the future.

For the poster that insinuated I was a know-it-all, let me only respond by saying that is certainly not the case. I am not a lawyer, politician, judge or jury. I am simply an American that worked for many years with a security clearance and had as many as 175 Americans under my supervision, all with security clearances. I know from experience what it takes to gain facility clearances and individual clearances.

Her server did not have facility clearance and the server's employees did not have individual clearances. She was in violation of federal regulations when she sent the first State Department e-mail through that server. Sending over 60,000 of them only compounds her violation.

If any of you know otherwise I would certainly like to hear why you think I am incorrect.

IMHO Hillary is in serious trouble unless Obama protects her by calling off the Attorney General.

I am not a lone voice in the wilderness saying what Hillary has done is wrong. From today's news...

EXCLUSIVE: Special Operations Vets Call For Kerry To Strip Hillary Of Security Clearance

    RICHARD POLLOCK
    Reporter

    12:47 PM 08/19/2015

A group of special operations veterans and intelligence community officials have formally asked Secretary of State John Kerry to strip former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of her security clearance along with three of her top aides, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.

The organization, called the Special Operations Educational Fund, wrote Kerry August 5 asking that he “immediately suspend the security clearances” because of Clinton’s use of a private unsecured email server and domain name that contains classified information. SOF is a 501 (c) 4 nonprofit group.

The group also asked Kerry to administratively suspend the security clearances of Clinton and aides Cheryl Mills, Huma Abedin and Jake Sullivan.

The SOEF demands could significantly escalate the email crisis that has engulfed Clinton’s campaign for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination in recent weeks.

The SOEF previously criticized the Obama administration for leaking sensitive national security information concerning the operation that resulted in the death of al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.

Mills is a long-time Clinton aide who was White House counsel to President Clinton during his impeachment. She was also chief of staff to Secretary Clinton at the State Department.

Abedin was deputy chief of staff to Secretary Clinton. Abedin became the focus of controversy when it was learned earlier this year that she was pocketing multiple salaries while working for Clinton, including a government salary and benefits, as well as earned income from the Clinton Foundation and a firm created by a former official of the foundation.

Sullivan was one of Clinton’s point people on Iran. Politico called him Clinton’s “secret Iran man.”

Secretaries of State typically retain national security clearances for an indeterminate time after leaving office. It permits them to examine classified documents and provide assistance to their successors.

The SOEF was founded by Scott Taylor, a former Navy SEAL who serves in the Virginia House of Delegates. He is a Republican.

The SOEF claims, “there is ample evidence that this private server was inadequately protected from foreign intelligence penetration and malicious ‘hacking.'”

They also charged that the operation of the email system “is a serious breach our nation’s diplomatic, operational and strategic security.” They urged Kerry to “exercise its administrative authority to suspend any existing security clearances of these four individuals.”

Michael Gregg, CEO of Superior Solutions, a cybersecurity firm that conducts penetration assessment of computer systems, told TheDCNF that Clinton’s server was “very vulnerable. There is a 98 percent certainty that that server was breached somehow.”

To emphasize Clinton’s vulnerability, Gregg noted that the Romanian hacker “Guccifer,” whose real name is Marel Lazar Lehel, was the first to disclose that her emails were on a private server.

Guccifer is known for hacking political figures and celebrities. He was indicted in June 2014 in absentia by a federal grand jury for hacking activities in the United States.

Gregg said that Clinton’s server was working with a 2008 version of Windows. “It wasn’t even the latest version,” he said. “My main concern as a security professional was simply the amount of information that could be potentially leaked or exploited.”

The Inspector General for the Intelligence Community has confirmed that classified material was on the Clinton server which reportedly contains 30,000 emails.

Clinton and her attorney David Kendall surrendered the server and a backup server along with three thumb nail drives to the FBI.

Intelligence officials are currently combing through the emails at the State Department after it was determined that classified material resided on the server, some of which were “Top Secret.”

The State Department did not reply to a DCNF inquiry regarding the SOF request.

Yet another good post by S. Landreth.

Quinnipiac University is a well regarded polling source. Perhaps one of the best.

IMHO, I really don't believe the party candidates will be either Hillary or Trump.

If Hillary keeps slipping you might see some others join in. I'm thinking Biden or Elizabeth Warren as the leading contenders.

I realize there is some fervor for Bernie Sanders but I just can't believe he has the name recognition or popularity to gain the nomination. Bernie is 73 now and will be nearly 75 when/if he is inaugurated in 2017. Age will be a player in his case...as it will be with Hillary.

I think Biden will run before it is all over and he would be the more formidable opponent for the Republicans, over even Hillary.

    Republicans?

I don't have a clue, other than to firmly believe Trump will not be the candidate. Rubio from Florida and Kasich from Ohio would be a good duo from swing states. I believe the debates will sort out much of it over the next few months.

    Interesting times ahead.

So basically more bollocks from a right wing website, and I'm assuming the "security expert" they quoted isn't too shit hot either, because there is nothing wrong with Server 2008, it's still supported and secured; and he has no idea what other measures were in place to protect the emails.

So really when they say "there is ample evidence that this private server was inadequately protected from foreign intelligence penetration and malicious ‘hacking.'":

They mean they have fuck all evidence of it and they are simply making up a soundbite for some retard on Fox News to chuck out all day.

Ooh, so a group of 'concerned veterans' think that hilly should be stripped of her security clearance. Lets look at this group then, shall we? Really chuck, you make me chuckle. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specia...Education_Fund ... During the 2012 United States presidential election it began a media campaign asserting that leaks of sensitive information from the Obama Administration have endangered U.S. personnel and compromised national security, and that Barack Obama has taken too much credit for the death of Osama bin Laden... News reports have described the group's ties to the Republican Party, noting that several prominent leaders of the group are Republicans and Tea Partiers and that it shares an office with a Republican consulting firm and a Republican polling firm. The Obama campaign has likened it to the discredited "swift boat" smear tactics used against presidential nominee John Kerry in 2004.

Walker ten points behind in his own state

No surprise here it is Wisconsin

The difference that that lemming can not understand is that Bernie has already said he will not run as an independent in the general election. Trump with his huge ego more than likely will and that would torpedo any hope of a repubtard in the white house in 2016.

    Fact!
First you complain Trump leaves open to running outside the two party system, then in the same post you complain about the two party system

Do you think they can do the same with Trump?

It's an Op-Ed but it's generally noted that Obama may not / will not do anything to impede any investigation (although legally he probably can't). When BO chose here to be in is cabinet he was playing the "keep your enemies closer" card.

Why Obama is torpedoing Hillary Clinton

The president craves a successor who will preserve his legacy

There is only one person who controls Hillary Clinton’s fate, and it isn’t Hillary Clinton.

Mrs. Clinton is careening toward possible criminal charges
involving her alleged mishandling of classified material on her personal email server while she was secretary of State. And President Obama is driving the bus.

She and her team have, of course, reverted to form, blaming everyone but themselves: a “right-wing conspiracy,” The New York Times, overzealous investigators. What they are missing, however, is the one figure who wants her taken out politically, and who has the power to do it.

She and Mr. Obama have a long history as frenemies.
Recall Mr. Obama’s rejoinder at a 2008 debate, when Mrs. Clinton touted her likability: “You’re likable enough.” Or recall President Bill Clinton’s famous put-down of Mr. Obama: “A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.”

Beyond the bad blood, however, Mr. Obama has a more important reason for doing her in. As I have written previously, he needs a successor he can control. Over the years, including recently, he has waxed rhapsodic over a possible third term to continue his “fundamental transformation of the nation.” Mrs. Clinton will not provide it; therefore, she must be sidelined.

If Mr. Obama does not want an investigation to go forward, it does not go forward.
Witness the scandals involving the Internal Revenue Service, Benghazi, Veterans Administration and Operation Fast and Furious gunrunning. In each case, Mr. Obama claimed he learned about the scandal “from the news.” (That’s interesting coming from a guy who claims he only rarely watches or reads said “news.”)
