Back on topic: It would appear that indeed Laws are for the Little People.

General “Petraeus was tarred, feathered and ridden out of the CIA on a rail for sharing some information (his own notebook) with his biographer who was both in the military and had a top secret clearance. Yet, Petraeus did not have a secret server set up to house his classified and top secret information or digital satellite imagery; he destroyed nothing; and, there was no ‘leak.’”

Hitlary is a loser and she'll figure out a way to lose again. See 2007 when she was also The Anointed One(TM) but managed to get her butt kicked by an unknown community organizer who actually had a personality.

(Tinfoil hat firmly in place.) Is it possible that the Dems actually hate Her Royal Thighness(TM) so much that they'd like to dump her? She's being challenged by Obummer's Executive Branch(TM) including the FBI and the DOJ and others. MSM pundits don't seem to be protecting her this time.

Well, we can only hope: Democrats are nearing full-on panic mode.

When that last poll came out where 58% responded that HRC 'flat-out lied' about her server didn't have any classified material sorta spell the end (hopefully) for this old nag.

Hillary would be the best candidate so far with financial matters. She's gone from saying "We're flat out broke" when they left the White House to saying "We flat out have $USD200 million" in just seven years. How long can an ex pres with a $400K retirement pension and a $200 mil bank account and a wife who can get millions from nefarious foreign governments continue to pretend to represent "the little people"?

That beotch wouldn't hand you a glass of water if you were on fire and yet she pretends to be of The Compassionate Party(TM).

Republican Colin Powell Deals a Death Blow to Hillary Clinton Email Scandal

On ABC’s This Week, former Sec. of State Colin Powell admitted that he used a private email account for public business. Powell’s explanation of why he used a private email account amounted to a death blow for Republicans who are trying to build a scandal out of Hillary Clinton’s emails.

    Video:

    Transcript via ABC’s This Week:

STEPHANOPOULOS: But I do want to ask you one final question on this Hillary Clinton e-mail controversy. Which, of course, put you back in the news a bit this week, as well.

You were secretary of State during the early days of e-mails. You were one of the first secretaries, I believe, to set up a personal e-mail account. And you pushed to modernize the State Department’s system.
Based on your experience, what do you make of these revelations this week and what would you recommend that she do now?
POWELL: I — I can’t speak to a — Mrs. Clinton and what she should do now. That would be inappropriate.
What I did when I entered the State Department, I found an antiquated system that had to be modernized and modernized quickly.
So we put in place new systems, bought 44,000 computers and put a new Internet capable computer on every single desk in every embassy, every office in the State Department. And then I connected it with software.

    STEPHANOPOULOS: So they want…
POWELL: (INAUDIBLE) have a stack of them.
STEPHANOPOULOS: — they’ve asked you to turn them over, but you don’t have them, is that it?
POWELL: I don’t have any — I don’t have any to turn over. I did not keep a cache of them. I did not print them off. I do not have thousands of pages somewhere in my personal files.
And, in fact, a lot of the e-mails that came out of my personal account went into the State Department system. They were addressed to State Department employees and the State.gov domain. But I don’t know if the servers the State Department captured those or not.

And most — they were all unclassified and most of them, I think, are pretty benign, so I’m not terribly concerned even if they were able to recover them.
Powell’s description of his own emails as pretty benign matches up with Rep. Adam Schiff’s description of the Hillary Clinton emails that the Benghazi committee has read. According to Sen. Chuck Schumer, Clinton’s private email system was based on the system that Powell used.

The technology available in most federal agencies is woefully outdated. It isn’t surprising that appointees would use technology that is available in the private sector because it is better. Powell’s emails from his personal account went into the State Department system because they were addressed to employees in State. The same is the case with the Clinton emails. Powell’s discussion of his own experience with his personal email account adds credibility to the claim that there is nothing to see here.
If Hillary Clinton broke the law, as some Republicans are claiming, then Colin Powell also broke the law.
The more that is revealed about the use of private email, the more it looks like Republicans are trying to make something out of nothing. It has been a bad day for the Republican Clinton email scandal, and it is only going to get worse for the Republican Party as they continue to go down what looks like a dead end.

It is interesting to note General Colin Powell left his position as Secretary of State on 26 January 2005.

The rule against private e-mail accounts came into effect on 4 November 2005.

It seems Hillary night have a new problem.

Her server did not have Defense Security Service facility clearance and was not authorized to handle classified or sensitive State Department communications.

Exclusive: Hillary’s IT Contractor Did Not Have Proper Security Clearance

    RICHARD POLLOCK
    3:13 PM 08/14/2015

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton entrusted her email server to an IT firm that was not cleared to handle classified materials, according to the chief spokesman for the Defense Security Service.

The DSS is an arm of the Defense Department and is the only federal agency authorized to approve private sector company access to sensitive or confidential material.

The agency reviews and approves private contractors to assure they have secure facilities and approves security clearances for employees to clear them for access to sensitive or classified materials.

Since 2013, Clinton used Platte River Networks, a small Denver-based company, to upgrade and maintain her private email server at her home in Chappaqua, New York.

About 13,000 companies have received FCL or facility-wide clearance. But Platte River is not one of them.

“Platte River is not cleared” to have access to classified material, stated Cindy McGovern, chief public affairs officer for DSS in a telephone interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Sen. Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, told the DCNF that the Platte River involvement “raises serious questions” about the security surrounding Secretary Clinton’s server over the last two years.

“The revelation that Secretary Clinton used a private company, Platte River Networks, to maintain her personal server raises questions about what steps the company took to preserve and secure sensitive information in Secretary Clinton’s email,” Johnson said.

The DSS provides clearances to 30 federal departments and agencies, including the State Department.

Alex McGeorge, the head of threat intelligence at the IT cybersecurity firm Immunity told TheDCNF that all facilities approved for access to classified materials need a “SCIF” — or Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility — also known as a hardened room.

“It’s a room that is resistant to eavesdropping and unauthorized entry limited to personnel with security clearances. That would be a room that where data coming in and out of the room is tightly controlled,” he said.

According to the Associated Press, the intelligence community inspector general reported to Congress Monday that Hillary’s emails contained at least two messages with information considered Top Secret.

For servers that contain Top Secret information, “you would have to have very compartmentalized clearance to see. Those standards are much higher,” McGeorge said.

The DSS current mission is carried out under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), the rules of which were established by President Clinton in 1993 with Executive Order 12829.

Platte River has not responded to requests for comment from TheDCNF.

She's not qualified to be POTUS based on the simple fact she shouldn't be able to get the proper security clearance for the position.

Fair nuff but IF as Hillary claims no classified material was sent then it's legally a moot point.
This issue is not going away. Likely the FBI investigation will not be concluded for a year or more so Hillary will be dealing with it all through the campaign.

Sadly, it really isn't a moot point. The Defense Security Service sets the legal parameters for any server that handles government documents of any sort. The huge majority of the correspondence come under a classification called SBU (Sensitive but unclassified) and they are to be handled in exactly the same manner as Confidential or Secret messages are handled.

The key point is Platte River did not have the "facility clearance" required by existing federal regulations to even handle Hillary's recipes, much less any other correspondence, regardless of the classification.

It's the server now, not necessarily the content of the messages.

Hillary has well and truly shit in her own mess kit.

And it gets even better with these tax and spend Dems. Hillary is going to eliminate college debt!!!

Hillary Clinton pitches scholarship, on-campus child care options - CNNPolitics.com

And it will only cost taxpayers $350,000,000,000.

...Clinton's "New College Compact," a 10-year, $350 billion proposal that comes as her Democratic opponents -- including Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley -- push college affordability plans of their own.

Clinton is pushing low-interest grants and loans, and offering states incentives to keep college costs down. She said she supports President Barack Obama's proposal for free community college."

The mind boggles. This woman is truly frightening.

Hey wingnuts, remember when Karl Rove deleted White House e-mails to save Dick Cheney's white ass?

Bush and Rove were embroiled in two competing scandals — the Valerie Plame scandal, in which operatives for Vice Pres. Dick Cheney, including Rove and Scooter Libby, were accused of unmasking Valerie Plame, a CIA specialist in the black market for weapons of mass destruction, for purely partisan reasons, and the U.S. Attorney purge, in which Rove’s political operation in the White House was accused of ordering Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to purge eight U.S. attorneys who were qualified prosecutors and replace them with political hacks with little or no prosecutorial experience.

Rove escaped prosecution in the Libby case, but Libby was convicted (Bush quickly commuted the sentence) on March 6, 2007, at the same time Bush and Rove were under fire for purging the U.S. attorneys. During the investigation, it came to light that Rove’s server had been used to send official, non-political emails — correspondence that was required by law to be preserved under the Presidential Records Act.

On April 12, 2007, Rove’s operation admitted that it had deleted at least 5 million emails from the server. In December 2009, technicians who had examined the server reported that the number of emails that had been deleted was far greater — 22 million.
