You guys remember the story of when gentleman scamp ran out of money? This was a big thread on TV at one time.

I wonder if everyone got paid back...

The assumption I ever borrowed money is a myth started by detractors needing something to bash me with. I only ever borrowed money from my mother who rents a handful of properties in Oxfordshire.

I always wonder where the big salary he boosted about keeps disappearing to, he seems to chronically live on a shoe-string budget.

I have just finished a years work of mostly 7 hr days on a British wage, not a great one but a UK wage in Asia nonetheless, and I sold my grandmothers house last September. I've signed the money over to my mother so its in her name. I didn't ask to stay here at the family home, I wanted to live in a hotel but there's only a shit motel with no internet, and perhaps its better I save money until I know what I'm going to do. I am also owed 50,000THB (700 pounds) by a friend in Thailand which isn't due until August.

Move into apartment tomorrow, have paid one month, plus deposit and bought a bed, fridge and second hand furniture.

Need to go to dentist but I'll wait until I am in Bangkok for that.
