I've only had it for four days.

    Piece of Chinese plastic shite.

Thank you for that moment of humour on an unhappy day. Although, I fully agrre that these pieces of plastic Chinese crap are very hit and miss - you've been unlucky with that one. (Have you tried hitting it with a hammer?)

She had just finished high school and turned 19 a few months earlier, moved to the big city alone to start university, was lucky enough to meet Ed while in the gym with 2 new classmates one fateful afternoon. A bit of a laugh, good chemistry and Line account swap, and that was it. A week or so later, after a motorbike ride which involved her writing I love you I love you I love you on my back with her finger the entire way. One of the first meals.

https://teakdoor.com/northern-thaila...ml#post4638201 (A day in the life in the North)

    The last meal.

Microwaved frozen 7-11 hotdog fried rice, with a raw egg hatched on top before microwaving, then slathered in mayonais.... mayo and sweet chili sauce. With a side of breakup.

I cannot fault the reasons, I have kid duties 5 days/nights a week, and my 'days off' are midweek when she has uni, so no time to go to travel together once or twice a month on little breaks/weekends away, I am 45 and have no plan to marry, have another kid, or generally change my current settled life. She is 20 entered the relationship at 19 and will need to experience life, and at the end of her 20s probably look to settle down with marriage and kids etc etc neither of which are possible with me.

When I think of me at 20.

Being a rasta smoking weed in Dahab for 3 months while sporting questionable tie-dyed fisherman pants, half a decade before she was born.

Which seems like around 75 eternities ago.

I can only agree with her wholeheartedly.

Or with what's left of my stabbed, deflated, crushed heart anyway.

10 months, the second longest relationship of my life.

There was mention that I should probably be in a relationship with someone at the same stage of life (settled with a home and home life and kid), and age. .... Age... as in, dating a 45 year old.... a 45 year old woman. Jaysus can you imagine it. I'm not sure what turns my stomach more, the end of our love or the idea of dating a 45 year old.

^ To be honest, and no offense meant, but I was thinking about 45 year old females.

^ clarity mate, come on! Also, the fear(?) of opening your horizons is maybe part of the problem? (although, the gardener relationship does suggest otherwise... ).

^ I could send you my daughter's 1000 piece all-white jigsaw puzzle if you like? In two weeks over Christmas she only managed the edge pieces.

    That'll keep you busy.

Thailand has a plethora of gorgeous women in their late 30s early 40s. They are also generally more mature - and have a better idea how the "bits" fit together.

Frankly, dating a 19 year old is a bit "ick"
