Currently, there is no functional government per say in Mongolia, which is leading to visa renewals looking rather difficult. Your first work visa will be for 3 months, then 6 months, then they give you 12 months. Mine will expire in December. That Thai holiday might be extended permanently at this rate.
Our Doghouse maybe free of I am paroled on the warder's birthday , good luck bro Mandy there may still be one person in LOS not completely fluent by Dec that could be me.
If you can fit into PJs pr a Bristol City strip there's a bloke near KK who'll sort you out if don't mind a bit of punting shooting and dogging.
P.S.
Is it true folks in Ulan Bator with Down's syndrome are called Yanks?
We've not even hit Halloween yet and the Christmas advent calenders are on sale!

I arrive on the 16th... I hope for a decent discount on the Malteser calendar by then!
Yes, my mum is 90 in Jan so it seemed like a good Christmas to come.
Brief though, to squeeze in her school hols.
^ Wow, thanks very much!
I'll bring you a bottle of Ya Dong.
Last night I thought that I'd try a Brandy Snap with my cup of nighttime Milo in bed. I saw them in Korat Chef and they looked delicious.
But they are completely hollow, nothing like the picture on the box.
What a con!

Today I received an email from HMPO Bangkok informing me that my son's passport was ready for collection.
Since my appointment with HMPO Bangkok only took place on October 20th, I consider it an impressive turn around.
So why the moan?
Well, I made 2 applications on the 20th, one for my son, and another for my daughter.
2 weeks ago I received an email from HMPO England stating that they could not approve my daughter's application as is, as her name was not the same as in her previous passport.
It was a transliteration issue, which I explained on the application form. We wanted to change the spelling of her name slightly to match the spelling on her Thai ID card and Thai passport.
In what I found to be a somewhat confusing email from HMPO England it appeared that all kinds of additional documentation would now be required.
I prepared what I could and made my way to the local Thai Post to send it to HMPO. Well, I tried two locations and both gave me the impression my document was not going to make it out of Isaan.
"You must have a telephone number for the recipient or we won't accept it." "The post code you have written is incorrect . We won't accept it" It wasn't, just not a Thai postcode. They both just wanted that I go away quietly and leave them alone, which I did.
So last week I went to a neighbouring province to use one of the major courier companies, where I received friendly, professional service at a price. I went home feeling good.
Then I started to look at the tracking app. My document left Thailand for the Middle East and then onto mainland Europe. Everything fine so far. The document was going to arrive quickly.
The next day the app informed me the the document had left the Middle East and had arrived in........ the Middle East. WTF?
I called customer service. Again friendly, professional service, although I yet to hear anything back from them.
As of writing this, HMPO is yet to receive the document, although the app informs me that the document is now in England. Therefore my daughter's renewal is yet to be approved.
I await HMPO's reaction to my document with baited breath
Worst of all, I will probably now have to visit Bangkok twice before Christmas, as if I don't collect my son's passport within 30 days they will return it to HMPO England.
Prior to the passport application visit, I had not been to Bangkok for more than two years and I would be happy if it were at least another two years before I have to go again.
Ahh! I feel a bit better now
The ultimate moral test of any government is the way it treats three groups of its citizens. First, those in the dawn of life our children. Second, those in the shadows of life our needy, our sick, our handicapped. Third, those in the twilight of life our elderly.
