I think I have made a misstep in this whole working overseas thing in 17 years. UB these days is reminding me of 2008 in the UK before that big economic crash. A very different vibe, I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is certainly something "off". Oh well, it is what it is.

With zilch data I imagine Mongolia must heavily tied to its 2 huge neighbours Russia and China and therefore not entireley in control of its economic destiny. Are there any direct flughts further afieldto The Gulf Staes,S Korea, Japan, India, Europe here or do you have to transit Russia or China?

Indeed, Mongolia is very sensitive to commodity prices, and sadly at the moment coal prices are at an all time low. Mines are laying people off and construction seems sluggish in comparison to a year ago. That said, growth is expected to be around 6%, but inflation and household debt causes issues for regular salary owning folks.
