Fuck Thai banks, they have charged me 2k baht in two withdrawals weeks after I made a swift transfer from UK. Bank in UK charged for the transfer the same day, do you think I can get any sense out of the shits here? I did wrongly click take extra fees out of receiving Bank, seems a licence to steal, Bastards.

Yeah I want to get back to the occasional drinker. While I do not drink a lot, I do find it enjoyable and very nice way to buffer the BS.

I will say I will never stop sipping fine spirits. I actually enjoy the taste and smell and in moderation all is OK especially around a BBQ with good friends.

Been 2 days now even though the CEO and I went a few rounds yesterday. I went home and had an ice cold Henry Weinhard's draft root beer and some Tortilla chips.

Got a letter today from my credit card company in the USA giving me 30 days to reply to a peculiar list of questions in order to verify my accounts including purchase types, reason for living in Thailand, occupation, and expected travel. Pisser is that with the slow mail these days, I only have two days to respond. Looks like it is getting harder to keep an overseas account these days.

On April 3 I mailed my tax return and payment on time via registered mail at the Thailand Post Office in Prachuap. On April 15, the Thaipost web page shows it was handed over to the US Postal Service at JFK airport.

For the next month and a half I worried about why my check to the US Treasury Service was not cashed quickly as it usually is.

On June 5 the letter is returned back to me in Prachuap due to 'Attempted - Not Known - Unable To Forward'. Thing is, the letter has the CORRECT ADDRESS according to the IRS 1040 instructions and their online web page, and it is written in very clear hand writing!!!

So now I have to figure out how to get hold of the cnuts at the IRS and find out why the address in their instructions can't be delivered to, where to send the return to a second time if a correct address can be determined, and make sure that I am not charged interest or a penalty for a late return!!!

Edit: Found out after making an expensive call to the IRS 'International Call Center' that the address used for my returned tax letter was indeed correct, and there is no other to send it to. So the US Postal Service needs to be tagged for that one. Makes me wonder what kind of morons they've got working there when the address includes a postal code that is unique to the specific post office box where millions of tax returns are sent.
Doing some post-groan follow-up here (or is it groan post follow-up?).

Mailed off my tax documents to the IRS for a second time on June 6 to the same address as the returned first sending. This time it got through and my check to the US Treasury was cashed 16 days later on June 22. The second sending including a scanned copy of the original envelope as returned, along with tracking details provided by the Thailand Postal Service. So the IRS apparently accepted my explanation of the original being delayed by the US Postal Service. Just hope I don't get any unexpected mailing from the IRS later on asking for interest for late payment.

The Matriarch of the village died today at the grand old age of 88. The old girl taking a liking to me was probably the main reason for my swift acceptance by the rest of the village. Only a couple of the golden oldies left now and the time I become one of them is arriving far too soon for my liking.

Not being able to attend the funeral would be a big problem if it was family in the UK but since it's Thailand, a swift transfer of funds to get the necessary funeral arrangements under way is enough. Strangely to them that pisses me off....

My moan for today is about fcuking, think-as-shit, mainland Chinese who think eating Durian in my hotel rooms is OK - the room stinks of vomit now and it will take all day to clear the foul smell.

Maybe I should put more Chinese guests in that room tonight with ' check-in' gift of a skank Durian...

Haha! It is not their fault that Durian stinks.

Really sucks that I have constant muscle cramps and spasms due to having to wear a walking cast that is heavy as fuck. Had to pop some advil last night to be able to sleep. Counting down the weeks until I can get it off.

Durian is a lightweight compared to phla ra and that stinking staw green bean filth, both smell like the Devils arse hole.
