    A sad story indeed:
Seems my hard working 20yo step son was unfairly dismissed from his employ in a convenience store.
Seems he was sleeping in air conditioned comfort in the store room.
S’okay he has now embarked a more lucrative career:
Returning to our home, stealing my beer and cigarettes and sponging cash for his motorbike payments, gasoline, slurpies and potato chips.
Poor sod will probably try hitting me up for a few hundred thousand so that he can 'marry' to get his end away!

    Back to the US YEEEHAW!!....

I have been back appx 2.5 days. In that time I was blessed with watching fat mexicans stand in line at a Safeway store using their govt aid debit card to buy more and more food. I listened to a black gal go off on some asian woman at a store I was buying some stuff. Some wanker derailed an Amtrak train in PA killing 7, The news showed some Bloomingdale robbery in Snootty Palo Alto and like all the people they interview on the news the twats said "I cant believe this happened to us, this is a super nice area with a lot of wealthy people". What an ignorant kvnt. I have had to dodge idiots drivers again and this morning as I headed out my front door some fukers decided to do a "Break car windows" drive by along a neighboring street and busted out windows on about 10 to 12 cars parked along the road. I saw the glass on the road by each car. Poor owners are still a sleep and do not even know yet as I head into work about 5am. Supposedly we are expecting big rain here today so that should make those 10 or 12 owners extremely happy.

    WAFJ.

I loved being insulated from all that crap in the US while I was in Thailand. No news, no robberies, no fat ass Hispanics, White trash and African Americans with govt aid cards nursing the system, no idiot drivers.

    7 months and counting..........

No Shit BLD. I really cant wait to get on with my life versus having to tolerate the crap. As you mentioned, self entitlement is one of my biggest heartburns about this place. All a bunch of superficial, shallow, step on the next guy to get more for themselves bunch.

Albeit I worked my ass off at the house while I was just in TL, It was productive, fun, lots of laughs, I ate excellent food, was up at 5:30 out by 9:30 exhausted but felt great.

My position at the company I am working for is actually quite enjoyable which is my only saving grace. The rest of the shit here....they can have it.

Thailand has DIFFERENT crap. I sometimes used to feel like I was on a small emotional rollercoaster when I was there. None of the usual Western crap ( I hate that sense of entitlement too), but after a while, the local crap tends to irk somewhat. But you are aware of that already, after your neighbour in Hua Hin decided to become a chicken farmer.

As you have now insulated yourself from that, this time it may take the form of someone burning plastic upwind (as happened to me regularly in BKK), or some idiot running into you on the road.
I highly recommend comprehensive insurance and a dash cam.

    LD,
Oh I agree. There is always BS somewhere, it boils down to what you are willing to tolerate. I should be in good shape where I will live in Thailand. Time will tell.

Had a big row with the wife last night and went to sleep knowing I was right.

Woke up this morning and can't even remember what we argued about but I must still be right, right?

She knows I was too pissed to remember. No doubt she'll inform me at some point over the next 48 hrs when she starts talking to me again.
I would post pictures but life's too short.

Just had 12 cubic metres of soil dumped in the middle of our driveway blocking the two cars in.

I wanted it outside the front gate on the road with a clear vehicle passage-way but who am I to know what's right or wrong.

Kurgen, if your over your shandy hangover get your arse down here with a barrow and a spade.

Good to know, I shall be incorporating it into my vocabulary as soon as the opportunity presents itself.
I was coping well with the cold and the crispy lungs but when I woke with the squits this morning, well I just felt so urgh!

As he lives out in the sticks and I live downtown I doubt I will see him barrow a bit of soil.

Sounds like the beginning of the joke about forming a sentence with the word contagious in it.

    BOLLOX!

I was half way through making a spicy tomato, carrot and basil soup and my hot and cold blender died on me.

    R.I.P. soup making buddy.

I'll never be able to replace you, until I get to Macro.
