^ what, different from usual???
I concur, for the hatric!
^ disgraceful!
The Battenburg that I bought to accompany my morning cup of tea has just finished (after three days), so I'll have to brave the wilds of Buntingford to buy another...
Looking forward to maybe fish and chips today then a county pub Sunday lunch tomorrow. No wife on this trip. Everything has been perfect - really not much to moan about at all.
Oh, I just remembered a moan: even though I live in Korea, I use a UK phone with an esim as well as a Korean sim. I ordered up a new iphone 13 mini from O2 (I like small phones), and to get O2 to sort out a QR code to transfer the same number from the old phone (also O2 iPhone) to the new one included a trip to the Harlow O2 shop (traumatic being in Essex...), calling several other O2 shops before I got through and got told "no can do", hours trawling from the awful O2 website, and several attempts to call the O2 call centre which included being put on hold for a long while then cut off (a classic!), one lady (the call centre was in India) who I could not understand a word of and she could not understand me, so it was painful and slow (although she was polite and helpful), and a two hour period where their O2 call centre system crashed... After three days, I got the QR code I required sent to my phone's O2 app, and it was easily done. But, shouldn't that have been sent out with the phone order? (I did get an email telling me it would be, buuuut...). A painful experience.

Cycling should be banned!!!
^ correct.
But, it's not only Issan wives, Mine is a Nakhon Nowhere, just outside Bangkok, virtually a city girl. She does not travel well...
A big surprise to me is that the wife actually seems to want me back home.
She's taken to sending me pictures of the dogs to tempt me back, or maybe it's just the daughter that she's missing?
I must admit the tactic is working and I'm looking forward to a weekend back in Korat. I miss those dogs.
^ I suspect she loves black pudding but is scared of using the circular saw
^ That's what gardeners are for.
I did actually think of her a few days ago.
I turned over a piece of limestone up on the 3000 year old, Iron Age hill fort of Dolebury Warren on the Mendips, and exposed this...
I mentioned to the daughter that her mum would have loved these... how we chuckled!
That's disgusting...
^ It's what he's already mentioned.
Though I may have slightly adjusted the terminology for the purpose of dick-ish-ness.
The wife only speaks to me nicely the day before I get paid, and sometimes for the entire day that I've been paid and transferred money to her/Thailand for bills, etc...
^ Pretty stand stuff I would think.
I transfer money from overseas once a month to keep the household running, since I don't keep 1 Satang more than is necessary in the Thai account and certainly don't get paid into it.
Mission accomplished!
Anyway, to get back on topic... my moan is that I couldn't drink any cider with my lamb chops for lunch today as I soon set off to Yeovil via Wells to fulfill family commitments. This also means that I'll miss watching the cricket for the rest of the day... and this is supposed to be a holiday.
When that long overdue itch needs scratching and it doesn't quite meet your expectations of how it was before.
Banking here can be quite the frustrating endeavor
I bought some sturdy golfing umbrellas today for my trip to London ffs!
Umbrellas in July!!
The wind will soon sort those brollys out
A Flatcap and no store security will question that bulge in your pockets
^ Have you ever watched Harry Enfield's 'The Scousers do dat der London'
