Clearing street vendors from Sukhumvit in BKK. OK I understand knick-knack sellers between Nana and Soi 15 but now down my end of Sukhumvit near 71 i went to buy a car charger from the stall on the corner. GONE.

So now the locals have nowhere to buy stuff.

This is the utter nonsense I am soon to leave behind. Today I was on my 5 mile walk/jog and came across this place for sale. 1320 sq feet. No privacy, no land in a marginal neighborhood. Some poor sap will be required to put done almost as much as I paid for my entire build in Thailand then finance $520,000 for 30 years with a mortgage payment of ~$2300 a month and property tax of $7800 annually until they die. Home owners insurance is $750 year on a basic coverage

There are very few people in this world that I actively dislike, so it's unfortunate that one of them happens to be my (Chinese peasant) father in law who is staying with us at the moment.
Apart from his general smarmy grinning, mumbling demeanor he's dumber than a housebrick and a toilet brush has more personality.
He shuffles around barely lifting his feet when he walks, mumbling when he speaks barely moving his lips. I can't understand a word he says and can't stand the sight of the odious little cretin (5 foot nothing).
He has a kind of passive aggressive nature and the manners of a pig. I refuse to eat at the same table as him such is the disgusting noise when he's slurping and slopping and smacking his food down.
Walks around the house hoicking and spitting into any sink. Went into the bathroom he uses the other day and there's a pile of semi solid loogies on the floor BESIDE the toilet bowl, he's been hoicking on the floor rather than in the bowl the disgusting little maggot.
Caught him hoicking out the 9th floor window (there are people cars kids playing etc down there depending on which way the winds blowing) the other day.
But to top it off, and the straw that prompted this little rant was in China at New Years the kids get 'hong bao' red envelopes with money inside from relatives and friends. Depending on the relationship it could be 5-100 kuai (Yuan).
The kids collect these and at the end of the season count them up and I don't know about other families but we put most of it in the bank for them, giving a little discretionary spending money.
Anyway, I digress.
Fortunately the wife keeps a close eye on it. She knows exactly who gave how much and in which envelope it is and where the envelopes are. The young daughters in our room, the sons in his bedroom drawer. The wife had been looking for a particular hongbao that had 200 in it (daughters) and asked the old man, he denied seeing it, but the next day she went to talk to him and saw him quickly stuff something red under his pillow. She investigated and found it was the missing envelope, now empty.
he claimed it was empty when he found it.
To cut a long story short the horrible little kunt has been skulking around the house pilfering the kids money. His grandkids money ffs! (he admitted it)
I'm just waiting for the missus to give the word and he's out on the bus back to the fucking village where he can rot.
he's been staying with us because of his health, he's developing diabetes, and we've spent loads on him. The wife is understandably upset but I don't think she wants to be so brutal to her father but as far as I'm concerned he can just fuck right off right now.
OK, Rant over.
Oh, a friend bought over a couple boxes of weetbix a while back. My favourite breakfast cereal and impossible to get here.
One box should last 20 breakfasts. I went to open the second box and it was all but empty. Little shit for brains ate it all in a week (when I wasn't looking).

Charleyboy.... We had a Mongoose that decided that the terrace right outside our bedroom was his turf so he would come by every few nights and lay one of those down. The dog sleeping inside would go nuts. If your turds there are oily and smelly, you might have a Mongoose claiming your digs as his own.
