Thankyou ,, it took about 2 weeks from start to finish ,, mostly due to drying times and the fact when I get home from work its nearly always too dark to paint at this time of the year .

I have just started a new sea painting , purely for practice sakes , its much smaller but the techniques are the same , I have lots and lots to learn and want to paint plein air by the seas on holidays in the new year

Cheers Rob ^ funny thing is that one has just caused a little bit of grief between me and the missus , while she was at work yesterday ( bless her ) some one came round to see me and has just made a fantastic offer on it which tbh I am very tempted to take , as I can do myself another one , BUT she don't want it to go as she has already promised it to one of her sisters back home ( apparently ) lol

Anyway as I owe so much of the happiness I have in my life to her and the time I am allowed to paint as opposed to the ex I suppose I have to let it go to her sister , which means I will have to paint another for my mate and another for our new home in Spain , on the upside the third one should be quite good with all that practice

Thanks KJ glad you liked it ,, not finished quite yet as I have some highlights and some shadows to glaze in when it dries again .

Will put it back up finished in a frame when its all done , in the meantime I'm torn between clearing the shed out , what Ive been told to do or starting another one ,,, er yup I have thought long enough about that , the shed can wait

I did manage to use up the rest of my paint tonight , trouble with acrylics , its dries so quick however as contradictory as it sounds that is also the blessing of em , just chucked it into the frame it will live in to see how its shaping up

Here we are all done first of mine in 2016 ,, painted as a gift for one of my good mates who has just lost his Mum . This is their home area .

Oh BTW this is done in acrylics ,, don't know if anyone noticed the sky colour change in the final pic ?

I glazed it over with a touch of french ultra and the tiniest bit of alizarin crimson to illuminate it a tad more
