I do not seek to copyright this work of art and all may feel free to download and print it. It is guaranteed to brighten up the drabbest of homes. It is not necessary to understand its meaning at first glance. It will take years to understand its full complexity.
As a starting point it represents the mutual love of man and animal and their show of respect and solidarity by painting their faces blue. Creature comforts, house and tree, figure only in the background while the smaller dog stands on his hind legs in an expression of joy. All are smiling and offer a reassuring vision of our world which will be attained when we learn to cherish our fellow man.
^ REALLY glad you said that since I'd already thrown it into an online auction and fetched a couple hundred guineas for it.
Just one question before I close the deal. Was that this year's?
I reckon it’s time we broker a deal.
No, scratch that. It’s time you go out on your own, son.

In all honesty, I first learned how to sketch human figures with Hustler, Playboy and Penthouse mags.
......though it's very close to the work of 'Modern Toss.'
Cool. I'll print it and put it on the fridge to fool people into thinking we have a child almost old enough for kindergarten.Originally Posted by Digby Fantona

I do not have an artistic bone in my body.
This was painted by a man named Fred Rawlings who was the husband of my Mothers' life long friend. He was a boiler maker and turned to art when he retired. As he lived in Wiltshire England, I would imagine it was a country scene in that area.
^ Perhaps it is the artists own take on Constable's Salisbury Cathedral and the bridge of Harnham, but the view painted from the bridge itself.
