Right bear with me fellas.
I've got a samsung galaxy. Works a treat.

Kies comes with the phone. Why and where do you turn on debugging?
I bought it a year or so ago and had no problems other then in the last month or so people call me and it says the phones off or goes to a non existant voicemail. The phone is always on and showing full bars. Is this a problem with the phone or a problem with AIS? Also, what's this ICS?
Cheers.
Sure sounds easy as pie. ;-)
Odd, on iPhone, it's just "oh, there's an update" (taps "yes", watches update)
Yep, so do I and mine works well too!Originally Posted by Albert Shagnastier

Harry,
How long does it take (roughly) for the upgrade
Is it worth it
When is Jellybean released???
Well, luckily I didn't have any tortoises on me at the time...
My phone has Resurrection Remix ICS, and that actually updates better than Samsung - they're pretty crap at upgrading, they take fucking ages.
RR 2.6 popped up on my phone this morning, so I'm downloading it now (373Mb).
Because the source for Jellybean has been out since last week, I have the transitions and status bar already.
The first device with it installed is supposed to be the Nexus tablet. Phone wise I reckon the Note II.
I stopped using Stock ROMs on Samsung with the Spica.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth

Well according to this, there might be even more.
Last month, Google unveiled to the world the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, which came to the market in conjunction with the first tablet PC included in the popular Nexus series, the Google Nexus 7.
Before the end of the year, however, Google is expected to add more devices to the Nexus family, some suggesting around five.
The reason appears to be a simple one: Google will celebrate five years of Android this fall, and a host of new Nexus devices would certainly come as a great gift for enthusiasts.
What we don’t know at the moment is who will manufacture those handsets, or what hardware specifications they would feature when released.
One designer, however, decided to up the ante, and published his own ideas on how the next Nexus smartphone might look like.
Influenced by the curved screen present on Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S before it, he imagined the upcoming Nexus 5 smartphone as packing a great deal of curved lines.
As can be seen in the image to the left, Nexus 5 might, in fact, look like no other handset before it. Still powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it could feature a curved profile, complemented by curved edges and a shape similar with an hourglass.
The device would also include three capacitive buttons, along with a back photo snapper with flash. As expected from such a device, HD video recording would also be included into the mix.
Moreover, the phone could offer support for LTE networks out there, along with HFC capabilities and support for WiFi networks. A quad-core Snapdragon application processor could very well power this smartphone.
Chances are that we might never see such a phone model brought to shelves, either with Android or another mobile OS loaded on it, but the idea still intrigues, that’s for sure. You can have a look at a high-resolution version of the attached image on Deviantart.![]()
Tried to update me s/w again today, doesn't work... Then tried from the phone itself rather than the pc software, doesn't work either...
Yes all the PCs, tablets using Android are best. Google Nexus 7 Tablet are awesome. Android has included many advanced features in it. I works smoothly and is the next technology that will be liked by every people.
^ sure sounds that way, reading ^^
Does it actually say there is an update available ?Originally Posted by Bettyboo

^ yes, on the PC software, bothers me with update boxes whenever I connect; although the phone says the s/w is up to date...
You can't do an over the air update Betty, and my guess is you've missed the boat
New Delhi: Popular mobile phone brand Sony Ericsson, which is now known as Sony Mobiles, has announced the Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) upgrade for Xperia Mini (ST15) smartphones.
Sony has started rolling out the ICS update for Xperia Mini globally but the update will not be available for all users. It will be released in batches, based on sales item number. The sales item number is an eight digit number at the back of the device on the label right under the battery.
To check if the ICS update is available for your device, users will have to check the device's 8-digit sales item number and match it against the numbers available on Sony's blog.
http://ibnlive.in.com/news/sony-roll...269082-11.htmlAfter you have found your sales number you can connect your device with the PC companion application and the upgrade will get downloaded. Sony has only made the upgrade available through PC companion software and will not be providing any over the air software upgrade.
Sony had earlier announced the launch of the ICS upgrade for its flagship device the Sony Xperia S. The upgrade had to later be recalled with a promise of reissue as it was causing problems to users globally.
^ sure sounds like a far better and more convenient solution - Go, Android, Go, Go, Go!!!
Obviously Sony have fuked this up...
Is this Sony's blog ?users will have to check the device's 8-digit sales item number and match it against the numbers available on Sony's blog.

I can't see any mention on there![]()
... you forgot to add "as usual".
Sony has a long history of fucking up their products.
It's a nice product, the Sony PC software isn't very good; that's where Sony suffer imo, their s/w has been utter shite for years and years - decent hardware though.
This is consistent with nearly all Asian manufacturers. Fuji makes a great 3D camera - the software is utter shit. Some kid in Japan wrote his own software that runs circles around it, that everyone uses; ditto for Canon cameras; ditto for Samsung KIES (ironic since the Samsunites complain about iTunes); etc...
I was looking into buying a Sony Xperia S today, since, I've found out about the fakked up version of ICS and the camera is faulty on it
Another I looked at today was HTC One X but it has no sd card slot and 5 inches in your clenched hand is a bit too much, eh fellas ?![]()
I've heard that the bigger Xperias are quite heavy and uncomfortable to hold. The HTC is supposed to be very nice though.
