I am not considering the note 3 - my note 2 will be fine for another yearOriginally Posted by Bettyboo
I will be considering a samsung haswell ultrabook though - but lenovo did just unveil a 14 inch T440 which might be a contender
^ cheap bastard... & Samsung are crap - when are you gonna start buying decent brands??? My lightish Windows 8 14" HP is fine (but too heavy to be used on your lap), so an ultrabook would be a good buy. Although, I'm increasingly thinking that a desktop at home (with a nice big screen) and a 10" tab with clip on keyboard is the way to go. Anyways, the Note4 will be almost the size of a 14" Ulrabook, so maybe hold out for that...
We know your sort, still got a Nokia 8310...Originally Posted by david44

If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.
Why not an ultrabook for mobility and a big monitor for using it at home. Then you are only buying 1 computer so you will have twice as much to spend and you will have all your stuff on one machine.Originally Posted by Bettyboo

yes - this is what I am thinking - ultrabooks were supposed to support WiGig / WiDi - 60GHz short range wifi especially suited for connecting HD laptop wirelessly to HD screensOriginally Posted by Looper

An Android Ultrabook, Looper? Great idea.

Looks like my phone is old hat, and the S4/HTC One have been gazumped...
Pathetic spec really. Look at the camera, I've seen better on a feature phone.
What is wrong with the camera Harry?
1/2.3-inch Exmor RS CMOS image sensor, Sony G lens with 27mm wide angle and F2.0 aperture and Bionz image processing
Sounds pretty good.
you should get about 4 hours out of thatOriginally Posted by Bettyboo

It'll be just about the best camera phone around, Árry!
I hope the battery life is better than my Xperia Z; on medium usage (internet, Skype, etc) it goes down at 10% or more per hour...
Jaysus who the fuck wants to wear a watch with a stupid bloody plastic tube sticking out of it? (Other than the nips of course). How dumb is that?
Sounds like $300 worth of shit if you ask me.

I see Samsung have brought out a smart watch to go with the Galaxy Note 3
You won't look like a dick much, doing thatThe Galaxy Gear isn’t a stand-alone device—it’s meant to link up with Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 3 smartphone, which it also launched Wednesday. But it does a lot of things that most other smartwatches don’t. For starters it can make and receive calls. To answer an incoming call, just lift the watch to your ear and start talking

Samsung's smartwatch panned as a limited, 'overpriced toy' - ComputerworldUK.com
The Note 3 looks good. Multiple bands of LTE including CAT4. 3Gb of RAM.
Just have to wait until the S4 contract runs out I suppose.

You sTards are quite worrying; the good news is that their market share is dropping and likely to plummet during 2014...

If you've ever seen the theme options at mycolorscreen.com then you'll definitely be interested in this app, which promises one click access to their themes.

Android’s UI gets re-imagined with Themer by MyColorScreen
Let’s be honest, one reason we all love Android so much is because of the myriad of customization options right at our fingertips. Android’s flexibility is also the reason why it’s the go-to operating system for smartphone manufacturers across the globe. The problem is, the customization forced upon us my manufacturers are typically half baked, slow and downright ugly.
Enter MyColorScreen and their new Themer app for Android. The app takes over your phones UI, giving you a completely different experience with dozens of themes which can be downloaded and applied to your device with a single click. From the looks of it, MyColorScreen has invested a lot of time and effort into making themes simple to use and extremely pleasing to the eye. Unfortunately, the app isn’t quite ready for prime time. Those interested in participating in a limited beta run of the application can sign up on Themer’s website. We suggest signing up as soon as possible since MyColorScreen has not given any indication as to when Themer will be available for general consumption.
can't wait for the iWatch, will probably be more stylish
Maybe in future the smartwatches will offer something good, but at the moment they seem quite shite to me...
Maybe a smartwatch with google glasses type setup could offer a nice complete solution in time.
Phonewise, it depends on the person, but for me a 5" screen is as big as I'd want to go - I actually prefer the size of the Nokia 920 to my Sony (although the 920 is heavy, and owners are increasingly complaining about them...). The size of my screen is nice, if there was no bezel at all that'd be perfect - I reckon the bezel adds 3cms in heaight, and around 1 cm in width - get rid of that, have the screen from edge to edge and you'd have a perfect size, imo.
Árry, the new Xperia Z Hitomi has an excellent camera; the best out there. Just saying like... Plus, as per mine, the HD recording and SD/HD playback is miles ahead of anything else out there. It's a great phone, the best available, but not quite perfect yet. As stated, I'd like to see the bezel gone to make the device smaller, better sound as per the HTC One (difficult with a waterproof phone), and get rid of the small plastic housing that fits between the metal case and the screen.
For me, the Sony android skin is miles better than the childish Samsung crap and the intrusive HTC skin. Here's another pic for you folks to love; the rounder edges make it nicer in the hand (although I've never had any problems with mine...). I do like the dedicated camera button too. &, of course, it's much more rugged than the very breakable S4. The rugged version of the S4 losses some functionality (camera...).
Want a mega camera?
