I have one question about it. Once WIN 10 update is installed can you still dualboot to your old OS or is it purely WIN 10?
It's not out yet, so don't know if that question can be answered. I just installed the technical preview as a new install because I have no fear.

I see. I read a short article and it described installation of the preview as an update, that 's why I asked.

If dual boot is possible it would be easier to convince my wife to install it too.

Got some info on that free offer. It is not time limited but it is coupled to the device it is installed on. So on switching to a new computer later you need to buy it.

Not a bad deal for me. I will need to buy a new one anyway and will do it before the offer expires. That should last me until WIN 12 or so.

It installs over the old system, so no dual boot. But I can make a backup before installing and play that back into a parallel partition. That enables dual boot.
