    As I have said from the outset, a twat and a nasty one at that. Religion, politics or making a cultural statement are all irrelevant factors and red herrings. He is just another creep who left his own country as an economic migrant and found a place in which he has no bearings to guide himself and in social isolation has manifested his innate derangement.

    In downtown Tehran, Tabriz or Qom the silly fucker would have been ostracised for being the twat he undoubtedly is and even the mullahs probably thought he was a Farsi short of a tribe.

    One hopes the Tac team, or whatever the diggers call it, top him before morning.

    Two dead including the gunman.

    "The number of casualties was not immediately clear, but Sky News Australia reported that two people were dead, including the gunman."

    If they went in on the back of him shooting a hostage, they fucked up.

    If the TV cameras had numerous clear shots of him, so did the snipers.

    Should have plugged the bastard at the first opportunity.

    He lost his right to a trial when he took hostages with a firearm.

    And the bombs he alleged to have?

    But I agree, after he demonstrated his inability to use the hostages to force his demands, they should have discounted the bomb threat and just plugged him.

    Cops would have had a substantial amount of info gleaned from the first five hostages out, possibly enough to know how many gunmen, bombs etc.

    Australian commandos have stormed a cafe in Sydney, ending a 16-hour siege by a gunman identified as an Iranian refugee who took dozens of hostages.

    Paramedics carrying stretchers raced towards the cafe moments after the commandos entered the building. Several people were injured.

    Unconfirmed local reports said two people, including the gunman, died.

    Bastard got his martydom he needed putting in a straight jacket in a padded cell for the rest of his life.

    They were banging on about how confident they were it would end peacefully.

    Don't compromise with these assholes. Just top them at the first opportunity.

    ^Was it in Peru where those hostage-takers were all executed when the place was stormed?...They each got a bullet in the back of the head when they tried to surrender...

    An Iranian-born gunman Man Haron Monis was killed, along with a 38-year-old female and 34-year-old male hostage after a dramatic firefight brought an end to the his almost 17-hour siege.
    Sounds like they didn't go in until they heard shots.

    They've publicly stated that. It's a tough call, go in before shots are heard and risk people's lives, or wait and maybe you get a peaceful surrender.

    To begin with, it was unknown if the gunman had an accomplice who may have already been in the cafe;
    Shooting through glass carries the risk of deflecting and deforming the round, thus triggering an unwanted response from the hostage taker;
    The hostages who escaped were under the impression that there were bombs planted in the cafe - dead man's trigger mechanism?;
    It now appears that one of the hostages attempted to disarm the gunman, and the consequence of that is now known.

    Killed hostages identified as Sydney lawyer and Lindt cafe manager

    The two hostages killed in the Sydney siege this morning have been identified as the manager of the Lindt cafe and a lawyer.

    Katrina Dawson, 38, worked in the city and had three young children.

    She was a barrister at Selbourne Chambers.She was married to Paul Smith, a partner at Mallesons.

    PHOTO[at]Lindt Chocolate Cafe manager Tori Johnson, 34, had worked at a number of Sydney restaurants. She studied law at Sydney University, where she lived at the women's college as a student.Ms Dawson did her clerkship at Mallesons where she met her husband.

    Tori Johnson, 34, had worked at the Lindt cafe since October 2012 and had worked at a string of other restaurants and hospitality companies around Sydney.

    Former colleague Tony Manno, who worked with Mr Johnson at Sydney's Adria Rybar & Grill for a number of years, said he was shattered to hear the news this morning."Tori was a great guy, a good guy to be around," he said."He got on really well with all the staff," he said.

    THE manager of the Lindt cafe who was fatally shot in the Martin Place siege is being praised as a hero, responsible for allowing others trapped in the cafe to escape.Tori Johnson, 34, was wrestling a gun from gunman Man Haron Monis when he was killed.

    It is understood the cafe manager decided to take action when the hostage-taker begun to doze off after the siege had been ongoing for 17 hours.He lunged at the gunman’s weapon, enabling others to flee.

    Looks like the SOP of a practitioner of the "Religion of Peace";
    - Self proclaimed expert on the interpretation and application of the Koran;
    - Supporter of a violent group;
    - Takes non combatant hostages;
    - Terrorizes and murders hostages;
    - Lengthy history of violent crime including accused of the murder of a wife, and multiple sexual assaults;
    - Refugee from Iran;
    - Not gainfully employed;
    - Disrespectful of the people and country who were kind and compassionate enough to grant him refugee status and to provide all of the benefits that accompanied that status.

    We will be treated to multiple attempts to excuse this as the actions of a mad man, a lone wolf, a disaffected guy with an ugly wart on his lip and a silly turban etc. However, the fact will remain that Agnostics, Anglicans, Animists, Atheists, 7th Day Adventists, Bahais, Buddhists, Baptists, Catholics, Druids, Jains, Jews, Methodists, Mormons, Pagans, Satanists, and hundreds of other religious groups do not undertake these activities with the frequency, nor show the amount of raw hate, cruelty and barbarism as the adherents of the "Religion of Peace".
    Kindness is spaying and neutering one's companion animals.
