Seriously?
How would you enact this 'ban' exactly?
It is a sad day in Sydney. Fortunately, the Australian police are well trained and are showing restraint. I am impressed that they have been able to get these criminals to open a line of communication. There may be hope because if these psychos were after martyrdom, they would have killed the hostages by now. Maybe, just maybe, the Australians can wait this out. I expect that if anyone is harmed, the supporters of such violence in the muslim community will experience immediate retribution. Hopefully, some of the local muslim leadership will try and assist in a peaceful resolution of this event.

2 more out. Still could be up to 50 inside. Cops have not determined what the gunman wants but have ruled out a free christmas ham.
Three gunmen, one wearing a vest bomb holding unknown# of people (16 <40+), claim to have bombs planted around the city, also.
Muslim leaders condemn Sydney siege
AUSTRALIAN Islamic leaders have united to condemn the actions of a gunman responsible for the unfolding hostage crisis at a cafe in central Sydney, amid fears of possible reprisal attacks against Muslims.
UP to 30 people are believed to have been taken hostage at the Lindt chocolate cafe in Sydney's Martin Place where an Islamic flag is pressed up against one of the windows.
Police are using protocols similar to dealing with a terrorist attack.
Responding to the crisis, Grand Mufti Ibrahim Abu Mohamed, the country's highest Islamic office holder, said he felt devastated.
"The Grand Mufti and the Australian National Imam Council condemn this criminal act unequivocally and reiterate that such actions are denounced in part and in whole in Islam," Professor Mohamed said in a statement.
"We along (with) the wide Australian society await the results of the investigation about the identity of the perpetrators and their underlying motivations behind the criminal act."
Australian Federation of Islamic Councils past president, Rehin Ghauri, said he was gravely concerned for his "Australian brothers and sisters".
"Holding people hostage like this is totally, absolutely and honestly un-Islamic," Mr Ghauri told AAP.
He hoped those behind the attack were "quickly apprehended and brought to justice".
Ben Rich, a researcher into political violence at Monash University's School of Social Sciences, said some Australian Muslims could face reprisal due to the incident.
"I can't say to what extent it's going to be, but I'd say it's quite likely," Mr Rich said.
He predicted any violence would probably not be "organised by any particular political party" but was more likely to be "just a group of guys deciding `let's go do something, let's go attack someone'".
Mr Rich pointed to reprisal attacks against Muslims following recent terror acts in Chechnya and in England, after the killing of British soldier Lee Rigby in 2013.
Keysar Trad, from the Islamic Friendship Association of Australia, said any reprisals towards Muslims would show "evil has won".
"I'm hoping that sanity will prevail," Mr Trad said.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the people in the cafe, and we're praying that this situation is resolved as peacefully as possible."
Muslim leaders condemn Sydney siege
"Police said they did not have precise figures on how many hostages remained in the building but Burn said "it is not as high as 30" as some reports had suggested."

Shouldn't be too hard to find the target, he's a beardy twat with a bandana, a backpack and a big mouth.
This came in just a couple of minutes ago;
An armed man holding people hostage in a Martin Place cafe has reportedly told hostages he has planted four bombs.
Network Ten says it has spoken with two hostages inside the cafe, who were hysterical as they relayed the man's demands.
The man said two bombs are in the cafe and the others are elsewhere in the CBD.
It's being reported the gunman claimed there are "devices" all over the city and he wants to speak to the Prime Minister live on radio.

See how well gun control works, the outlaws still have them. Try this shite in Texas, Arizona or most other American States at your own peril.
I hope it all ends peacefully and without loss of life.
Stoopid koonts. Better to just enjoy the coffee and chocolate and read a good book in peace.

Not me.
It's in News, and lots of posts have been deleted. I have gotten that message before while trying to open a post that was in the process of being 'modded'.
