It was hardly abusive and I didn't swear at you. As I recall, it read "Idiot troll". I almost never send a red. Only to trolls.

Bitcoins are real money that can be exchanged for things on the black market of the Web (called the Dark Web or Deep Web) where you can literally buy anything. I'll give you one example: arms.

First of all, you really need a company that exchanges bitcoins (buys and sells) in their own country's currency. In Thailand there is a company called https://coins.co.th/ It is a perfectly legitimate business. You set up an account online and get a 'wallet' to keep the bitcoins in. Coins.co.th also provides wallets.

So you have to buy bit coins before you can buy anything else on the deep dark Web. Coins.co.th provides a few different ways to do this (all legal). The kind I use is called the ATM method. I place an order online and the web site tells me I have an hour to complete the order. Coins.co.th also gives me an account # and routing #. BKK bank is across the street and I also have an account there. I withdraw THB from the ATM in front of the bank then go to one of the tellers and give her the company name (coins.co.th), routing and account nos. and the Thai baht I withdrew (there are fees to both the Bangkok bank and coins.co.th). She electronically transfers the THB to coins.co.th and I go back to my computer and tell them I completed the transaction. After awhile, the bitcoins show up in my wallet (at whatever exchange rate is current at that time and it changes minute by minute).

    That's about it.
“The Master said, At fifty, I knew what were the biddings of Heaven. At sixty, I heard them with docile ear. At seventy, I could follow the dictates of my own heart; for what I desired no longer overstepped the boundaries of right.”

Steven yesterday I wanted to green you. I also wanted to send a message to Cujo to calm down. I thought he was being too tough on you. I had seen him go through the same thing with a new poster named Onree. He posted up worrying about a possible aspirin overdose to his child. Onree was a paramedic that tried to rip him to shreds. Including accusations of being a bad parent. Well it soon became apparent that Onree was a lunatic and a sock for Smeg who is currently melting down as Steam while in jail as Smeg. I would guess our gracious mods have simply miserabled Onree.

But now I see so many holes in your whole OP. I in fact you may in fact be the infamous Onree.

You know too much technical forum bullshit to be a nice guy golfer who lucked into a job in Chaing Mai.

I'm crap at identifying smegs but I'm starting to wonder now.
Steven yesterday I wanted to green you.
I did send him one because I thought he was getting an unduly hard time. I apologize to everyone for my stupidity.

With the history that TD has, it's obvious that StephenR is a [trolling] multinic that we all know - much too comfortable readily for a "newbie" and subtle references and quips are a general indication.

    Just sayin' like....

I welcomed you to the forum and certainly did not send you a red. I rather regret that welcome now as you've turned out be a bit of a prick.

a byproduct of bitcoin is the blockchain which has a record of every transaction and a timestamp that everybody knows

( you need to wash your coins before you use them for real anonymity ) - and do not store them in an online wallet - too many online exchanges vanish

the blockchain is being touted as the "next big thing " and the arguments do hold a fair bit of weight and some of the visions are very good

you can read this book - Blockchain Revolution - Tapscott, Don

though I would watch a few youtube videos first if you are a veritable newcomer to this part of tech

search this on youtube if you want a start point - The real value of bitcoin and crypto currency technology - The Blockchain explained
If you torture data for enough time , you can get it to say what you want.

'Longstayers' is an unusual word, isn't it. A quick search reveals that three people have used it on this forum: wefearourdespot (don't remember him), Mid and Smeg. That's quite a coincidence.

[I]He started the forum, posted until the cancer was too much. Started hundreds of threads over 7 plus years and he had this to show for it.

Now we have posters who only post for repo, not a care about content. Only the almighty green.

In 3 months of posting Loogie is now past DD. 3 months!!!

That's the funniest thing I've ever read.

    No, wait.

    This is:

But it's a pretty close second.

I honestly can't fathom why people care about such such.

But consider the truth, that's with my repo points after being reset to zero, imagine if they hadn't, then imagine if ones past accrued from previous times were added.... Cujo/Koojo-esque, so really you're looking at the top repoman.

    King, if you will.

Means assolutamente zero-o to me, but you may refer to me as Il Padrino from now on, in order to properly address Luigio. Number One poster on the board.

Perhaps it's a life of weed abuse, chang abuse, and a poor diet due to poorly prepared meals made from sub-par ingredients that has done it to you.

    Anyway, to improve TD:

    • upgrade the gallery.
    • Aim to make it more as a SEA focused forum as opposed to just Thailand. Make it more inter-regional than country specific.
    • Focus largely on Vietnam, Cambodia and Singapore.
    • Get photo competitions going again.
    • Set up travel thread competitions. All to be voted on by the members.
    • And get proper sponsorship without Whores.

And abolish the repo system. That's the biggest fcuk up. Posters can't accept criticism unless it's positive. Wankers.

^ Nonsense. Grown men crying like little girls because it was pointed out that they can't cook a pork chop is always a crowd-drawer.

I wouldn't have the knowledge to mess around with the code but I guess you would. So why are you dissing it, Mr. Expert?
There was no sarcasm implied. I asked you two questions to help clarify your post.

You said: "Let the code be open source."

I assumed you meant the source code for the forum software. If you didn't mean that, please correct me and tell me what you were actually referring to. If you did mean change the forum software to an open source forum software (like the SMF I mentioned), please tell us why you think that is a good idea for Teakdoor. (Maybe you could also tell us which one you would like to have here and why.)
