Small top sides. It's going to be the main hub with up to eight satellites surrounding it. Simple separation (removal of water and san solids) with the rest of the product going to a F.P.S.O. (floating, production, storage, offloading((Ship)). The jacket (legs) went out a month ago

What's your position there? I'm doing HLD on new builds in Korea, so this kinda stuff interests me.

I was on a barge while they were pile driving jackets for WHPs in the Bongkot and Arthit fields. No chance of any shut eye!

Senior night-shift construction superintendent. Basically running all trades and support on nights. It was a good job. Five months of living in Ban Chang on "The Strip" Finished at five in the morning. Got to know a few of the mamasans and they would open up the bars for me at seven. Shit, shave, shower and a bite to eat at the Camel and away we go......
Not the greatest job I've ever been on but the after work service was second to none.

Sounds like a good gig. Never been to Ban Chang but got a stagger there in August and it's going to be a messy one.

I thought there may be more as I don't see exhausts on top or living quarters. Maybe not on yet?

Would you consider £27,562 or $46,323 or €33,432 or ฿1,496,140 to be big bucks?

I'd certainly say it's not to be scoffed at.

    £530 per week

This is the salary an offshore/oilfield worker will make if he is paid at the current UK minimum hourly wage for over 21 years of age at £6.31 p.h.

Wait a minute... that's... like... 84 hours per week...?

Sure is, and it's fucking dangerous too.

Good Irish pub down in Phi Phi - its interesting because inside all the people who visit have written a guest book like entry on the walls.

Had some hen party guests at the self catering place in Cheltenham - they had a photo team do a professional shoot with Stepford Wives theme

I thought it was fun and it got some good social media PR - link here http://www.photomadly.com/hen-party-....6Tq6VSjT.dpbs

It's only one street but it's guuuud. The Camel is at the start of the strip about half way the street. The lad that owns it is called Terry. He's in the oil 'n gas game also. Top bloke.
If you get a chance go to the Warehouse and tell 'em Du-Da sent ya. You won't be let down ;-)

It has a control room but the living quarters will be a barge moored alongside.

Cheers for the info, I've heard a lot about it from my Old Boy who knows it well, and from a lot of boys living in or coming through Songkhla on crew change too. Sounds nuts.

Got anything lined up for your next project?

I've often heard the term Skyhook, but that's crazy.
What's the story there Dirk? Is it being lifted onto a platform?
