Took a few friends out on my small boat yesterday, though sea state turned out to be not as forecast, so we restricted ourselves to the Chalong Bay area. If the tide is right, the Beach Bar at Khao Khad is a great place to drop into, and popular with visiting cruising yachts also:

Shaved my ballbag and surrounding nether regions this weekend after letting it go a bit for a few months so took the opportunity to see how Ben Affleck would look with a beard!

Sprouting quite a few grey ones down there these days

Did you know Affleck is the new Batman? That sounds like horse's balls after Christian Bale's fine efforts.

Tame mantis was in the observation tank for a few days. Didn't want to leave when I took her outside.

You missed a bit when shaving...

Can you not get a real sort of fluffy pet. Instead of the wonderful ones you have.

I would like to get a cat to prowl round the place but it is not practical with my travelling for work. Unless she could learn to catch her own food.

Also I would fear for future residents of the observation tank with a set of feline claws on the loose.

Even fat, mollycoddled cats catch things. I had a flat once where the cats could go outside and do their kitty things. Every night, i had at least 4 "presents" brought to me in the mouse like stage. They only eat the heads.

The worst was when they brought live ones in... All that squeeking and me shouting actually frightened the neighbours!!

But there is nothing better than having a purring warm body beside you when you sleep. As in cat, perverts. I knew as i wrote it i would get shite....

Clocked this big fat spider earlier with a monster web.

1 hour later he has caught a 5 inch gecko. It hard to see from the low-light photo but he has already eaten half of its head.

    Zombie brain-eating spiders...

17 play ups = 20,000 baht. For meeting creatures in the dark again, I'd sooner spend a night with your upturned observation tank
