Nong Pang, a brilliant morlam performer for her age-17 I believe. She has had a good teacher though as her mum is Nok Noi Ulraiporn head of Seang Issan the most famous morlam troupe in Thailand for many years. Pang has no albums out yet, pity, but appears in concerts. last Sunday in Pinklao.

Village kids having a birthday party. Little one in mom's arms in a complete trance. Wonder what she's thinking? Should I run like hell before the house catches on fire or stay and eat some of whatever that is.

you bastard!... actually once when i was broke i went to a neighbouring town and sold cut up cigarett packet as LSD tabs..it also paid for a good night on the piss![]()
I always think this sort of show would interest tourists more than khon, or classical dancing none of them are men just in case anyone was thinking it. maybe it's coz the shows are normally free and tour organisations would not be able to charge silly amounts, oh I forgot they already do that to visit a wat, thieving buggers.

This is, I believe.
Wat Phra That Suthon Mongkhon Khiri Temple is also home to one of the largest reclining Buddha statues, Phra Buddha Sai Yat, which style is greatly influenced by Burmese Buddhism. The statue is 89 meters in length.
I really like this photo, it was taken on the largest wooden bridge in Thailand situated at Sangklaburi outside Kanchanaburi on the Burmese border. I was lucky to run into these monks last year.

I was driving through Doi Tung when I was stopped by the boys in brown. They asked me very nicely if I could give these honorable fellows a ride down to the Highway. No probs I said and made some good karma at the same time.

^^
Saphan Mon - The 400m wooden bridge itself is well worth a visit and is the longest handmade wooden bridge in Thailand. There is a small cafe on one end which is a great spot for a drink and a view. Be careful when crossing the bridge though, it is made and repaired in a chaotic manner and you need to be careful of your footing. There are donation boxes at either end which pay for the bridges constant upkeep. So consider donating, as you will receive an amazing photo in return! Local kids like to jump off bridge into lake...
